'Frasier' season 10 attempts to claw back some of the comedy lost by the previous two seasons, which ran the risk of turning the show into a drama series. Unfortunately, the writers seem to believe that adding high farce and new characters are the ways to revitalise the show; wrong on both counts. Making Daphne's mother (played by Millicent Martin) a regular character is an insane decision, a fifth wheel who only serves to antagonise the other characters (and the viewers!) Similarly, the addition of Julia Wilcox (Felicity Huffman) to the KACL family means we are given yet another retread of Frasier being annoyed at a new colleague stealing his thunder: think back to Kate Costas (season 3), Dr. Clint Webber (season 5), Dr. Nora (season 6), Dr. ... Season 8 is another enjoyable run of witty and intelligent humour from Dr. Frasier Crane and friends. This is the season when after all the near misses Niles and Daphne finally get together.
The season started strongly by continuing immediately from where Daphne leaves husband-to-be Donny at the altar, to be with Niles. However Frasier is still single and searching for his true soul-mate. The middle of the series was relatively weak as it required the design of stories to accommodate Jane Leeves' (Daphne) real-life pregnancy. However, things got good again by the end of the season.
The best episodes were:
'And the Dish Ran Away with the Spoon' (in 2 parts) - what happens next after Daphne and Niles leave Donnie and ... Read More:

Tom Hanks (Big) stars as Sam, a single parent. A year after losing his wife, he is struggling with the loss and to help him, his son Jonah phones a radio station to ask for advice, and Annie from Baltimore hears and knows she must meet up with Sam.
Filled with plenty of romantic conventions, Nora Ephron's 1993 romantic drama creates a light hearted feel good film, with funny and dramatic moments for viewers of all ages.
Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan (When Harry met Sally), in their first collaboration, are perfect in their respective role, especially Ryan who is very funny, where as Hanks takes the more serious roles, which he is always perfect at.
But the actor who steals the show is Ross Maligner, who is exceptional as ... Read More:

The eleventh and final season of 'Frasier' (tying in longevity with parent sitcom 'Cheers') marks the show's true return to form, set in motion by the average season 10. This can be attributed to the return of writers Joe Keenan and Christopher Lloyd who, individually and together, produced some of the all-time classic episodes in season's 1-7. Both writers bring a real creative force to this final season, and quickly set about dealing with some of the show's most recent problems. The grating Julia Wilcox (Felicity Huffman) is dispatched with early in the season, and the tensions between Frasier and Martin (a core theme of the early seasons) are renewed when father and son battle for the attention of Ronee Lawrence, Frasier's former babysitter. Season 9 of Frasier is arguably the weakest of the show so far. I give it only 3 stars, with a heavy heart, but I am judging it against the previous seasons, which have been generally outstanding. There are some very funny moments between Frasier and Niles but you get the feeling Frasier needs to move on.
I enjoyed "Room Full of Heroes", "Bla-Z-Boy", "The Love You Fake" and "Cheerful Goodbyes" but there are no standout episodes of comic farce that would enter the hall-of-fame (like season 4's "Ham Radio" or season 5's "The Ski Lodge"). In fact I don't even remember most of the other episodes. This is due to some weak writing and lack of fresh ideas, which you would expect by the ninth season of any show.

Series 5 of Frasier marks something of a turning point for the show as it begins to develop storylines that link the whole series together, drawing us into the story even through the weaker episodes. Here the main storyline is Roz's pregnancy, with the Niles/ Maris story also reaching new heights of comedy. The result is an inventive, fast-paced and energetic series with a very strong showing of some truly fantastic episodes. Series 5 reaches new heights of plotting, farce, and even pathos. Pure magic !.

Some people consider "Bug's Life" as not being on the same level of quality as other Pixar productions, but I really can not agree with them. My daughter clearly wouldn't agree either. This is a very funny movie, with a lot of interesting innovations (we will never look at bugs in the same way, me and my family) and a kind of surprising kindness - even the bad guys are shown with some understanding (having chosen the life of parasite racketeers, they are now trapped by it - as much as their ant victims). The principal hero is possibly one of the most likeable characters I ever saw. A little warning - there is one scene at the end, of the final demise of the leader of grasshoppers, that can impress the littlest children (under 6) - otherwise this movie is just perfect. The missed outtakes ... Read More:

twenty four episodes from the second season of frasier, classic american sitcom that took supporting character psychiatrist dr frasier crane from the show cheers and successfully spun him off on his own, and ran for eleven years. Some say the show lost it's edge a little in later years, but let's not get into that here, because it's definitely at it's peak in this one. biting wit, characters you like, funny situations, brilliant one liners. one of the best sitcoms ever.
Twenty four episodes of the show are spread over four discs.
the first three have one single extra, compliations of scenes from episodes with people calling frasier's radio show.
the last, in addition to these - and you have to go via the set up menu to find these - has as special features a short ... Read More:

Robin Williams (Good Will Hunting, Mrs Doubtfire) stars as Alan Parish, a man who comes back from being trapped inside a board game, to find his home town in ruins, and the only way to bring it back, is if he finishes the game.
This is a great fantasy adventure from director Joe Johnston who combines stunning and exciting visual effects with a gripping and mysterious plot.
The imagination about the board game makes the film amazing with various typical jungle elements encoded to anchor the plot and combine excitement and suspense to the narrative and characters.
Robin Williams is fantastic as Alan Parish, an uncomfortable soul who has had a difficult childhood, one which audiences can sympathize with.
Bonnie Hunt (Cars) is also an interesting character ... Read More:
