I love Life on Mars, John Simm is fantastic in it. A DVD you just have to own.

I absolutely love this show. I think another reviewer said thirtysomethings will enjoy this more and I have to agree. While Life on Mars was brilliant, a lot of the time it did seem to be nothing more than a pastiche of the brilliant Sweeney and Gene Genie nothing more than a piss-take of the legendary Jack Regan. That is not to slag it off LoM was groundbreaking and I adore John Simm and he made Sam Tyler such an empathetic character it was easy to sympathise with Sam's plight.

However (deep breath)...Life on Mars is a different kettle of fish altogether. The first thing that struck me was how cleverly it is filmed. The opening scenes of 2008 Alex tacking the demented Arthur Layton who is responsible for putting her into the `coma' are filmed ... Read More:

There are many reviews of the film, although few give any mention of this being a remix version. As someone who has seen both, I'd have to say that the remixed version adds very little and seems to just be a re-editing of the original with a different intro and a few different songs (e.g. 'Weak become Heroes' at the end)

Of course, being Human Traffic, it's well worth another watch (hence the four stars) and the extras are worth at least one viewing. However, there is no way this remix improves on it as all it adds of value is some deleted scenes which were rubbish anyway.

So, if you have seen Human Traffic + loved it, then this is worth a go. However, if you're just curious then try 'Go' 'Late Night shopping' or buy

I adore this movie! I first saw it about 17 years ago when I was 15. I was staying in my best friends house and we rented out this movie because we both had a crush on Andrew McCarthy! Anyway we watched it three times in 24 hours!!
I can't tell you why I loved it so much, but I think I could relate to Andie (Molly Ringwald's character) at the time because I liked to be my own person, not a clone. One of the main reasons that I love this movie is DUCKIE! I love him, yes I fancied Andrew McCarthy at that time (I want to stress AT THAT TIME,NOT NOW!) but when I watch this film, it's Duckie I want Andie to be with and who I would have chosen myself! I know that the film originally ended this way (the right way!)but test audiences didn't like it so they reshot the ending and she ended up with Blaine ... Read More:

I remember way back in the 90's when this movie was pulled from the shelves for being a video nasty when the government decided to make its second raid attempt on horror movies due to real life violence! Turned out to be utter bollocks. This movie is rated 18 unlike the others which are 15...for the reason that is unclear. It is easily the weakest of the sequels and its not really gory either. If it wasnt for Chucky still been on top form here then this movie would have failed utterly so on that basis we can be thankful that one person cared about this movie out of the strobble actors. (Keep an eye out for Andrew Robinson as the psycho hair cutter in this movie, hes great)

This Manga film is probably one one the greatest animation films from Japan in the last 20 years. I have seen this movie more than 10 times. Jubei is a great hero who is a bit reluctant to fight unless he gets payed. If you like classic style Manga then buy this. You will not regret it. I promise you good viewing. If you don't like it then there is something wrong with you.
