Right, this is so exiting, Turn Left begins brilliant with an intresting alien planet, Donna being a companion very obvious with her an the dr simply visitingand having fun, then Donna is made to change her life and never meet the dr, then she meets rose who helps make her meet the dr and put it allrigt. Now this episode is great, I love Catherine Tates performance, so emotional, it shows that she is not all Am I Bovvered?, Run for your lives children were all going to die! and I aint bovvered. Shes more than comedy. As for Rose, what the, I mean no, her erformance was so, good, but she hardly did anytrhing,I lieks the idea of the dr being dead and the aliens doing stuff to earth, not that i want him dead, its just that it shows how much we need him. Series 4 of the new Doctor Who has been in my opinion, one of the finest series ever. David Tennant remains as brilliant as ever, and if anything changes, it's that he can only get better as time goes on. Catherine Tate, has surprised and amazed me, with her portrayal of Donna Noble in this series, making the character such a credible, efficient and lovable assistant to the Doctor.
All this excellence continues in this fine volume of the fourth series, as Russell T Davies revives another old villainous race from the Doctor's past, introduces more allies and facts from the Time Lord's past (the older series to be exact) and includes some more good old interaction with one of history's greatest figures.
To start of, we have (essentially) a three-part ... Read More:
this is a very good episode. the end of the universe theme was really good , captain jack seems better than in series 1. the ending was the best for a long time . the only bad thing in the episode was that the futurekind weren't used a lot. they were kind of subplot to the main story.
the sound of drums.5/5.
best episode on the disk. very exiting and fast paced, and we get to see a glimpse of gallifrey. john simm plays the master very well. good first part.
the last of the time lords.4.5/5.
brlliant episode. it is a doctor who apocalipse story. vey sad ending and martha leaves. very fitting ending to a brilliant series.
highly recomended, hope to see more of john simm as the master in the future ... Read More:

I never watch Doctor Who, I always thought of it as dumb sci-fi, so I was surprised when I saw these three episodes on TV. If you've never watched Doctor Who before, buy this DVD first before any others (although there's some in-jokes there that you don't get if you're not a fan).
There are three episodes on here and the first up is Human Nature, where a school teacher dreams of havign adventures in space. Worst episode on the disc, but still very scary. Baines, the villain is a brilliant actor and those scarecrows are... scary.
THe second is the second part of Human Nature; Family of Blood. More Baines, more scarecrows, and some truly sad moments. Paul Cornell is a brilliant writer and all the actors are incredible.

I love this DVD, but I cant really comment on the DVD itself, I can only comment on the Doctor Who series. The best yet in my view and well done to all the team who made Doctor Who, and the amazing actors.

First of all I must declare that I prefer the classic series, 1970-1977 era. However, the 3 new seasons have been better than the dark days of the classic series (i.e. the post-Davison era).
I found series 3 to be the best since the programme returned. David Tennant has settled into his role & Freema Agyeman is very good as Martha. The standard of the stories is pretty consistent, unlike the variability of the previous two series. In my opinion the soap-like family issues that Martha and before her, Rose, had were completely unnecessary. However, Martha's problems were not as intrusive.
The best stories are Human Nature/Family of Blood, Blink and Utopia. Derek Jacobi is very good as Professor Yana, and the music does a superb job of building the tension. If I had to pick my favourite ... Read More:
