I don't want to write any more plots or story about this wonderful sequel; there are many reviewers who already did this. I just want to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this sequel than I would have. This time, the filming and special effects have very much improved. It is a story for mainly for children and young adults. Since I am a child at heart, I always loved watching this kind of genre movies. And I have to say, this is Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is almost good enough to be compared to the "Lord of The Rings" Trilogy. I hope the next sequels to Narnia will get better and better.

Imagine finding a magical kingdom in another world... only to return over a thousand years later, and find it in ruins.
That's the whole idea of "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian," a superb sequel to "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe." While it has a climax that goes on WAY too long, this movie shows us the darker side of C.S. Lewis' fantastical world -- with a heavy dose of Shakespearean villains, political intrigue, and some spectacularly epic battles.
It's been 1,300 years in Narnia, and the human Telmarines have invaded and driven the native Narnians underground. Aslan hasn't been seen in centuries.
And when King Miraz's (Sergio Castellitto) wife gives birth to a baby boy, his nephew -- the rightful ... Read More:

Great film, enjoyed it despite initial misgivings about watching a 'kids film'. Not going to review it in depth since so many others already have on the DVD section.
The picture on the bluray disc is excellent throughout, which does mean that some of the more dodgy special effects are shown up - though fortunately not too often. For the most part the graphics are very good, Aslan in particular is impressive.
The sound offers 5.1 and uncompressed. I could not get the uncompressed sound to work initially, but all was ok after a play around, and the uncompressed sound is very good. Footsteps in snow never seemed so loud! The 5.1 sound is also good, but does lack the detail of the lossless format.

Like "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, "The Wizard of Oz" and "Harry Potter" series, "Narnia" creates its own fantasy universe with its own set of facts and realities. Narnia is a vast land of snow and glaciers, where a wide variety of magical and mythological creatures such as fauns, centaurs, cyclops, griffins, dwarves, rhinos, beavers, wolves and other kinds of beasts live in. No need to mention mighty Aslan and his archenemy Jadis, the wicked White Witch.
In this magical backdrop, "Narnia" tells the story of four siblings who get into this enchanted realm through a mysterious wardrobe while they are in a temporary stay in a country manor. But they have a big problem: Narnia has been under the dark spell of the White Witch who turned it into ... Read More:

Good family film. Acting, actions scenes, special effects and characters are all very well done. Might be considered scarey for younger children in places (my 3yo has never had a problem) but never gory. No real hint of any religious message which wouldn't bother me either way really.
This has remained watchable even after a fair few viewings.

The Pevensie family must split-up due to the war and the children go to the country for safety. There Lucy while playing a game of "Hide-and-seek" discovers an old wardrobe in a spare room. There upon entering stumble into the country of Narnia. The story begins.
If you come at this film with no preconceptions or knowledge of the writer or writing. And of course did not see the BBC production, than you could almost perceive this film tale as a mild "Lord of the rings." We have the cultural classic coming of age journey that requires sacrifice and a new understanding of life.
The original BBC production truer to the story was of course lower budget and would appeal to a different audience. I think Disney adjusted this film to match their perceived ... Read More:
