I'm a big sci-fi fan, and was intrigued by the idea for Jumper. Samuel L. Jackson always lends credibility and I was interested to see Hayden Christensen out of his Star Wars robe. All in all I expected good things. I was disappointed to say the least.
The plot goes much like this; Boy discovers he has the power to teleport himself. Boy learns to control his powers. Boy lives idyllic life of leisure and travel until he discovers that people are chasing him, and that he is caught up in a war between people who can teleport, and those who hunt them.
Unfortunately, "Jumper" isn't much more than a geography tour. Action sequences aside Jumper is just plain boring. There is no chemistry whatsoever between David and Milly, and their ... Read More:

If memory serves, this was a blink and you'll miss it theatrical release which continued the downward spiral of former Sith Lord, Hayden Christiansen and the ongoing how has Jessica Alba got a career debate. But actually, it's not all bad. The tagline was ""Every year 21 million people go under anaesthesia. One in 700 remain awake the entire time. When they planned her husband's murder, they never thought he'd be the one."
Which sums it up pretty well. The basic riff is that Clay (Christiansen) is a young tycoon with a dodgy ticker, an over-protective mother (played by Lena Olin who acts everyone else off the page) and a secret bride to be, Sam (Alba). Clay marries Sam the same night as his heart transplant is taking place, an operation being ... Read More:

It's a good, fun action movie with 2007's best special effect gimmick. Christiansen makes some amends for Star Wars here, but it's Jamie Bell who steals the show.

Virgin Territory was a highly funny refreshing sexual film, in today fear of sexuality and expressing of true erotic love it was refreshing to see a film that didn't shy away from it. A truly entertaining film I strongly recommend it!

I really don't understand how people can be so malicious about this movie. I was hesitant about watching it as I thought it looked good, but I really wasn't a Miller fan. But having watched it, I honestly loved it. I'm not saying it couldnt be improved, because couldn't everything? But I thought Sienna, Hayden and Guy were really good, I loved the used of music in the film which helped put it in the era it belonged, costumes were great and I generally really liked it, people criticise that it blames Warhol for Edie's demise, but honestly, they weren't there and neither was I, so we can't judge, although Andy was known to be kind of manipulative, and the same people also say Guy Pearce acted him brilliantly. I'd also like to say that my two best friends were sceptical, both ... Read More:

.....I have to give this film 5 stars - just like most other reviewers. To add further cliches - I laughed and I cried. This tale of a "dysfunctional" American family, suffering from divorce, puberty, job loss and cancer, is one of the most affecting films that I have recently seen. I don't know what the atmosphere was like on-set, but this film has been perfectly orchestrated. Fantastic script, performances, direction. It's (deep breath) almost flawlessly executed. If I had one criticism? I would have liked to have cried a little longer before the credits rolled.

This one is a fascinating story, and what makes it even better is that it's based on events that actually happened. It's about a twenty-five year old reporter named Stephen Glass, who wrote for The New Republic news magazine and had an uncanny knack for coming up with vivid, memorable stories. Unfortunately, it turned out Glass's pieces were either partly or wholly fictional, and he went to great lengths (including concocting fake notes, voicemail messages, and websites) to justify his phony articles. The film chronicles his spectacular fall from grace as, slowly but surely, his deceptions crumble aroud him.
There are two things to recommend this one, the first of which is that it's one of those stories that you wouldn't believe if it weren't true. The New Republican was ... Read More:
