this was such a treat, as a big fan of disney i was expecting nothing but the best, and i got it!!How refreshing to see a genuinely funny, warm and animated/reality film that can still be produced by those geniuses!!

Assessed within its genre - fluffy romantic comedies - this is one of the best I've seen in a long time. Don't expect an arcane glimpse into the nature of love, but rather, a slightly far-fetched love story about a woman who is obsessed with weddings, yet never gets to be the bride. Enter the cynical journalist who rubs her up the wrong way but could just be a super bloke (and is played by super-sexy James Marsden), the boss she thinks she's in love with, and the obligatory selfish sister who gets it on with said boss, to the expense of our lovely heroine, Katherine Heigel.
A few slightly weepy moments, a great drunken scene singing "Benny & the Jets" and of course, they all live happily ever after....
Definitely recommended!

After such a long time away from the big screen and with no Christopher Reeve there was a chance this could have been a big disappointment- no chance! Every thing about the movie is good, the action scenes are as you would expect and demand from a Superman movie and the effects are fantastic. The script is also intelligent and in much the same style as the original movie, which means you are engaged throughout.
I can't understand the reviewers who have criticised the acting, Brandon Routh does a magnificent job as Kent/Superman and has perfected Christopher Reeve's mannerisms so well that it's scary. Kevin Spacey is good as Lex Luther but admittedly doesn't have quite the same presence as Gene Hackman, and Kate Bosworth slips comfortably into the role of Lois. ... Read More:

Giselle is a princess dreaming of her happy ever after as she sings her way to true love in an enchanted forest in animated style(literally)....but Narissa the evil queen has other ideas when she banishes Giselle to the real world of Manhattan in modern day New York to be lost amidst a completely different world.....The scene is set then for a modern day twist for a perfect real life fairytale in a cross between Snow White and Pretty Woman....what's your dream? Amy Adams plays an innocent Princess Giselle who is reluctantly helped at first by a divorce lawyer in the form of Patrick Dempsey (Greys Anatomy) and followed into the real world by an equally dashing Prince Edward played by James Marsden and an evil queen Narissa with Susan Sarandon's help....What transpires is a totally ... The opening shots depict a bleak concentration camp and a family being seperated. As the rain pours down and the parents are dragged off through the mud, a boy reaches out; his pain drawing the metal of the gates towards him until he is crudely beaten with the butt of a rifle and knocked senseless.
The beginning suggests that this film will take the exploration of discrimination of the x-men comics seriously and this is continued through Washington hearings as a senator whips up public support for the labelling of 'mutants'.
This is an action film that takes its subtext seriously; it develops slowly allowing actors time to structure their roles. It boasts a fine cast. Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen are heavyweight performers whose dignity and control give ... Read More:

this film isn't exactly what i would call a real classic. sure, it has all the usual actors but it doen't any humourous moments, like some of the other films in the series. The ending is just plain embarissing. it made me cringe.
watch this if you a fan.
My son adores this film, i haven't discovered why yet but i've been watching him very closely and i think that some of the scenes are a little to saturating for him to handle.

This is not the sort of movie I go for, but having read a few glowing reviews elsewhere about the film and the quality of picture and sound, and given that it is selling for well under £10, I thought I'd try it. If you don't like musicals then its best to avoid, but I don't mind them and hoped this would be entertaining part of the film. From the outset, the movie is crammed with songs, maybe one or two could be better or one or two less for me, and a little more dialogue. I felt it became a bit too broadway, but seeing as this is taken from the stageshow I can see how it's turned out that way. Some people are saying it's the new Grease or some are going OTT and saying it's better, but I can report IMO, it's not in the same Grade. On the upside though, I was entertained, even though this ... Read More:
