Once in a while you can watch a film were the leading actor carries the whole film! Bale's portrayal of a mid twenties psychopath who is addicted to pornography and has OCD is the main reason why this is such a good film! Buy it and you'll laugh out loud at the blunt arrogance and deranged world of Patrick Baitman!!!!!! Dare you miss it?? Not if you want to keep your spleem!!!

A Beautiful Mind's greatest achievement, in my humble opinion, is the way it makes schizophrenia accessible to "sane" people. The general public knows schizophrenics tend to talk to themselves, repeat certain actions and do things generally at odds with the norm. But why? It's nearly impossible for a "sane" individual to understand why this happens...and more importantly, what that feels like. Without this essential empathy, many people become frustrated with the mentally ill, asking why patients can't pull themselves together and just bear up. We express this same impatience with the criminally insane who act upon delusions with disastrous results. It is incomprehensible.

I watched this film on my new Toshiba HD-E1 HD DVD player through a Toshiba 37X3030DB 1080p HD TV last night and couldn't believe how stupid the film is. I received the film at no cost along with another HD title of my choice thanks to Toshiba's offer with the aforementioned HD DVD player.

First of all, it's just a tacky remake of The Perfect Storm (good film) which is a remake of Titanic (excellent film in my view). The plot is so lame it makes one treat it like a comedy - i was laughing most of the way through because there were flaws just about everywhere. A lovely film. Typical in today's world, the first time I heard of it it was on a saturday aft TV. Films like this should have a higher profile in today's cinemas, family oriented, some mild comic violence but nothing graphic. Good cast and story too, excellent.

I loved the original Poseidon Adventure, it was a great movie but after 20 years, the film started to show its age, so it was time for the classic to be remade.

I was glad to hear that Wolfgang Peterson was directing the film as he directed 'Das Boot' and 'A Perfect Storm', which were both amazing films and as he was directing the film I had high expectations of 'Poseidon', and it definitely lived up to my expectations.

This is a film about a plane with AI. It's kind of too repetitive, with most of the film made up of planes (CGI) going past the screen/right up to the screen really fast. It's okay but not great. It might have been better if it was 1.85:1, or if they kept the camera steadier, less extreme close-ups and the effects weren't so close to the camera all the time. A bit more of a story/variety would have been better.

As for the DVD, it's lacking any special features. It has some movie trailers (one of which - Final Fantasy 7 looks like it's the wrong aspect ratio), but no director/cast commentary. No features or anything like that.

i bought this movie on a whim and to be honest i didn't have great expectations but i was pleasantly suprised if you are looking for insightful movie making this is not the film for you if you want to be entertained by
big explosions on the other hand you wont be disapionted.
the story revolves around three american navy pilots who fly the most advanced fighter bombers in the world,set in the near future these all american flyers are joined by a new addition to the squadron in the shape of a robot plane who through the course of the movie goes rogue and threatens the world. the heroes are forced to take on the super plane and save the day and then each other, but the plot is not the strong point of this film .

After going to see Marvels second feature film about the comic book character the Hulk" The incredible hulk" last night id like to ask Marvel and the studio concerned why they thought it was necessary to make another film about the hulk ive got to say the film was a complete mess apart from the beefed up hulk cgi which was great.
It all highlighted just how bad the first film wasn't.

Excellent picture and sound, Demo disk material.
