Small Faces [1996]

starring: Iain Robertson, Joseph McFadden, Steven Duffy, Laura Fraser (II), Garry Sweeney
directed by: Gillies MacKinnon

June 30, 2003
Oh man what a legend of a movie!! It has lots of morals and I would defintly reccommend it to anyone and everyone also I think its one of these movies that if you watch at the age of 40 you wish you had watched it much earlier way back when you were about 12 because it taught you so many lessons which are now not relevant or unnesscary so defintly buy it off Amazon for sure!!! But if I had to pick a time to watch it watch when you feel fine but people are questioning you like I feel great and I am having lots of fun on a daily basis but still these people approach me lol!! And if you choose not to watch it there better be a good reason like yo were going to a party and not just going to watch a terrible film such as Kung Fu Hustle

Virtual Sexuality [1999]

starring: Laura Fraser (II), Rupert Penry-Jones, Luke de Lacey, Kieran O'Brien, Steve John Shepherd
directed by: Nick Hurran

This film demands on putting every person into sterioticial roles, even on the front cover it has pictures of the main charecters and labels them like Geek or Sex freak. This can be sometimes funny but mainly annoying because nobody is just one thing. This film is slightly surial and although having a frankly ludicrous basis it handles it with humour and charm. Not being an American teen movie its significantly less glossy and is much more gritty. After being set up on a date this girl desides to go to this virtual reality confrence where she desighnes her perfect man. but while she is making him there is a explosion and the man she creats come to life. This movies really isnt as simple as it seems there are very many twists and turns. ... Read More:

The Tribe [1998] (REGION 1) (NTSC)

starring: Joely Richardson, Jeremy Northam, Anna Friel, Trevor Eve, Laura Fraser (II)
directed by: Stephen Poliakoff

July 25, 2006
This is variably acted pretentious tosh. I know Poliakoff has won countess awards but this one is a real turkey.
As her fans will know, this is the one where Anna Friel, anxious to be taken seriously as an actress rather thna just another ex-soap star, took all her clothes off in the name of art. Several times in fact, probably destroying her chances of ever being a major movie star in the process.
Enjoy those scenes, there's precious little else worth watching.

Ok, none of the other reviewers mentioned Laura Fraser in this, she is so gorgeous and played such a good part! Its a predictable movie in a really good way, good over evil and all that!! After watching it you find you are grinning cus its such a good movie even though it probably should be rubbish!!

The Investigator [1998] (REGION 1) (NTSC)

starring: Helen Baxendale, Laura Fraser (II), Ian Burfield, Tracy Keating, Anna Bolt
directed by: Chris Oxley

April 10, 2007
Based on a true story from not too long ago The Investigator is about a time in the British forces when being a homosexual was banned and had serious repercussions.
Sgt Meagher is in the military police and gets recruited into tracking down lesbians for court martial and dismissal. Things take a twist for the Sgt when she starts to discover her own orientation. She eventually gets reported and taken in for questioning. The movie is really a series of flashbacks while she is in the interrogation room.

It's amazing how much time, man-power and resources were used on finding these women. A very emotive film as you see how these women who were willing to fight for queen and country were treated. Every aspect of their love lives had ... Read More:

A Christmas Carol [1999] (REGION 1) (NTSC)

starring: Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Joel Grey, Ian McNeice, Saskia Reeves
directed by: David Hugh Jones

November 07, 2000
I remember thinking nine years ago 'What the hell do we need yet another version of A Xmas Carol for' (as great as the story is) and consequently, I avoided watching it. But years roll on quite swiftly, and eventually, I thought I'd give it a go, spurred on mainly by seeing Patrick Stewart on a few chatshows down the years and thinking what a nice bloke he was, completely unshowbizzy. He was without doubt a star in this film version, full of awe at what his ghosts are showing him, and full of humanity when he eventually saw the light.

This is quite a snug and cosy feeling production, with alot of attention paid to little details, and the domestic scenes with Bob Cratchet and family are heartwarming. Stewart plays the character as he should ... Read More:

Divorcing Jack [1998]

starring: David Thewlis, Rachel Griffiths, Jason Isaacs, Laura Fraser (II), Richard Gant
directed by: David Caffrey (II)

January 27, 2003
This is based on the book "Divorcing Jack" by Colin Bateman and the film is just as funny as the book, if not funnier. David Thewlis stars as Dan Starkey, a columnist who likes his drink. One day, he meets a young woman and after being caught kissing her by his wife, she throws him out. After the young woman is murdered and he becoems the prime suspect, it is up[ to him to find a man called "Jack" and solve the murder. Of course, there is more to the situation than meets the eye...

The story is quick and pacy with lots of twists and turns. The best thing about the film though is Thewlis. He is hilraious as Starkey whose dress sense is the only thing worse than his drinking. A recommended film for Thewlis film but if you are up for some dark comedy, ... Read More:

A Knight's Tale [2001] (REGION 1) (NTSC)

starring: Heath Ledger, Rufus Sewell, Shannyn Sossamon, Paul Bettany, Laura Fraser (II)
directed by: Brian Helgeland

June 04, 2002
A Knight's Tale is the story of a peasant's son who is able to "change his stars" after becoming a knight's page. This entertaining film is set in Europe in the Middle Ages, and keeps our attention with good acting, humor, and without the help of super special effects. The dialog and soundtrack of mainly rock music takes us outside the usual costumed theme.

The "knight" (Heath Ledger) earns the love, respect, and loyalty of his peers and others with his bravery, sense of honor, and strength of character. Although the plot is simple, the interaction of the characters keeps your interest, and I came away with a better understanding of tilting contests and the sports or jousting. The opening scene gives you a promise of what to expect, and I was not ... Read More:
