Firefly - The Complete Series [2003]

I thought the first 2 or 3 episodes were a little slow but stuck with it and was ultimately rewarded.

On the skin of it it's a Space-Western, but somehow it is more than that. My fiance doesn't like sci-fi series or westerns yet she loved this series.

By the end of this series you know most of the characters well and it's set up for a great second series which of course there isn't! There is however the film Serenity which is a good film but never answers questions about (for example) the past of Shepherd Book.

Watch this series and the only dissapointment you will have is that they only did 1 series.

I love this film!
I watched it before watching firefly and even then loved it and thought it was one of the funniest, most gripping film I've seen in a long time.
After watching firefly I liked it even more.
I would definitely recommend watching firefly first but even if you don't Serenity is still worth watching.
I did feel that there were a few things that weren't consistent with the t.v show but that didn't ruin it too much for me.

A teenager goes to his uncle for help in learning how to seduce women. It's just a shame that the makers of this film forgot about a plot and made the uncle's character a bit of an idiot. I was glad when this film ended. A tedious way to spend 100 minutes. You have been warned.

I love this film!

Serenity began a number of years ago as a TV series known as "Firefly". American TV station FOX in making one their most recognized stupidest decisions ever, canceled the series early. However, Firefly with its army of fans the world-over and the strong willed maker/creator Joss Whedon (of Buffy and Angel fame) fought the good fight and eventually won, with the eventual making of the Film Serenity. Through both, the TV series and the film, the term "Browncoat" alone came into being and our dictionaries but thats also another story.

I SAW THIS FILM VERY BREIFLY, AND FROM WHAT I SAW IT WAS VERY GOOD . THE FILM ITS SELF TRIES TO FOLLOW ON FROM CECILS TEN COMMANDMENTS, THE FILM CLEVERLY FOLLOWS ON INCORPERATING THE THRILL OF THE OLD FILM AND MERGING ARTIFACTS FOUND IN EGYPT THAT WERE USED IN THE FIRST FILM TO BLEND WITH IN WITH THE NEW FILM . IF YOUR A SCIENCE FICTION COLLECTER THEN YOU SHOULD GO OUT AND BUY THIS FILM TODAY.
