Altough i really do hate musicals but because it was Johnny Depp i coulnt care less what it was i thourght it might alright only because of Depp but it turns out to be such an awsome movie i recomend to ANYONE who likes alot of blood and the singing was amazing in my oppinion its one of the BEST movies i have ever seen its a must see.

It really exceeded my expectations. It was really funny,
although the nude fighting scene did churn my stomach.

It's funny (not the film), but I remember Ali G being funnier than this film. I used to catch his television show occasionally and I thought that his pranks with (usually elderly) minor celebrities and politicians were funny. Short bursts of this character are funny. He should have remained just one character in a sketch show.

The trouble with this film is that (a) it's long and (b) there are no 'real' unsuspecting people pulled into his act. The beginning is too weird, the middle is a bit boring (I left the room a few times without pressing pause), but it does pick up a little at the end when things start to happen.

Ok, like me you're probably not one to buy many musicals but you digg Burton and Depp. What to do?
Well, here's my take... in simple terms;
It looks great.
The songs vary from dull to quite amusing. Not that catchy or classic but the odd one is amusing.
The story line is OK, fairly basic.
The actors perform well and the leads are charismatic.
Conclusion? Meh... you know, it's OK. That about sums it up. There are better and worse places to spend your money! Sorry to be tepid about the whole affair but that's how I feel. If you must, buy it but you won't be missing much if you don't!
Not a stunning blu-ray either.

In Ricky Bobby we have another of those classic quote-laden wide-eyed Will Ferrell performances that essentially carry the films on their backs. The plot of Talladega Nights is rubbish, sports-movie-by-numbers trash, but the comedy is golden. Low on brains, high on stupid, one-liner trailer-trash-isms courtesy of Ferrell and John C. Reilly, who's really starting to establish himself on the comedy scene. The pair's chemistry is undeniably strong here. Just two big stupid hairy men making fools of themselves. Sacha Baron Cohen's a tad much as the French competition, but the rest of the cast provide solid back up. If you're a fan of Anchorman... well, if you're a fan of Anchorman, you've no doubt already seen this. Wasn't it good?

The Ali G show is the funniest most brilliant piece of comedy that depicts the 90's - 2000 generation. He has 3 alter egos Ali G, Borat and Bruno and he goes around interviewing people pretending to be one of his many alter egos he plays the role so well i even wonder if he fools himself sometimes. If you are even contemplating buying this DVD stop and just do it! Ali G's style demonstrates what length his interviewees will go without in their opinion not making a fool of themselves. Watch out for the interview with a member of the aristocracy.

Moderate Ali G compilation, but doesn't compile the best though. I remember seeing an episode eight years ago on Channel 4, where he asks this woman and this 15 year od kid to come up on stage and asks her if she'll have sex with the kid for charity or soemthing, that wasn't on here along with alot of other interviews. I can watch the video again, but don't watch it as muhc as Ali G Bling Bling or Ali G, Innit.
