Watched this recently, have to agree with some of the other reviews on here, very disappointing. Some great performances, notably oscar winner Javier Bardem, but a difficult film to follow if you haven't read the book.
Do yourself a favour, and do just that. Cormac McCarthy is one of the greatest living writers in the English language.
Let's hope the forthcoming adaption of his book 'The Road' fares better...

You don't need to know the story... I'm sure you're aware it's about a fish and his dad. 'Nuff said!
This review is for the parents. My three year old son is pretty hardy but over the year or more he has been watching it I have found myself exercising various levels of censorship. On the whole it's fine but be warned Nemo's mum does get killed, there are murderous sharks, exploding war time mines and spooky deep sea beasts with large teeth!
You have been warned :)
I still love those darned turtles though.....

Bicentennial Man is a film which follows a unique and extraordinary robot over a period of approximately two hundred years in his attempt to "...be acknowledged," and become more human. It becomes obvious early after his activation by Richard Martin (Sam Neill) in the family home that `Andrew' is more that just another NDR robot. He develops an interest in classical music, builds a friendship with `little miss' and becomes a skilled craftsman... or craftsbot? The passage of time in Bicentennial Man is handled well and perfectly paced with a two hundred year journey compressed into a film just over two hours in duration. As time continues the cityscape becomes more futuristic and evolved (you may notice the change in Rupert Burns Enterprises which by the end ... Read More:

Mindless entertainment and it would be churlish of me to pick too many faults with a film that features cameos from William Shatner, David Hasselhoff and Chuck Norris!

One of the least known and yet best films I own. From beginning to end it will hold a very big mirror up to all that is truly hateful and mundane when working in a cubicle maze for a boss (or bosses!) who can drive even the most upbeat and placid human being to new levels of insanity. The characters and their private revolution against the system have everyone who sees this movie cackling and nodding their heads.
It is probably the best movie to watch on a Sunday night with all your friends, just for the look your manager gives you the next morning when you mutter the immortal line: "I could burn down the building you know...". ;)

Agreeably not a oscar winner, but good fun nonetheless, with many of the jokes original and not fart orientated. But seriously, buy this NOW.

that just about says it...Kirsty Swanson and Donald Pleasance are decent enough in this film...it is very low budget and it lacks the credibility that the show(4 yrs later)had, and has no actual direction to go in.
Sarah Michelle Gellar is the definitive Buffy (and always will be)she was(is) superb in the role and is a very talented actress and throughout the 7 seasons she made them seven years of bliss...also the supporting cast became their own characters which made it for me the best tv show ever made.
this film however was ignored for the tv series(quite rightly so)to give it a fresh feel.
the supporting cast arent at all strong here but the plot is reasonable(not worthy of oscars).
but give the film a go it has a B-movie feel to it and spoofs ... Read More:
