Tim Robbins (War of the worlds) stars as Andy, a man who is sentenced to life in Shawshank prison after the murder of his wife and her lover.
In this adaptation of Stephen King's novel, director Darabont delivers a touching tale about one man's quest to live and to survive in one of the toughest prison's in the country, with great acting, a wonderful plot, and a few other little tweaks to make a beautiful crime drama.
Nominated for 7 Oscars including Best Picture, Shawshank is a true touching crime drama, built around Andy Dufresne, who's approach to life in prison, his attitude towards life and the care for his inmates, makes him the most caring guy in prison you will ever see, which is helped along by a stunning performance ... The only person who could enjoy this film would be someone who could completely suspend all belief in reality. The story is so far fetched that it is laughable. It draws from various sources not least of which is Oliver Twist, with Robin Williams in the role of Fagin. I have read some of the reviews which praise the film and I am frankly amazed. I have seen worse films but am struggling to name them !!!!

In the sequel to the brilliant Bill and Ted's excellent adventure, Bill and Ted are under threat from the future, as the evil Chuck De Nomolos sends two evil robots, disguised as Bill and Ted to earth to kill human Bill and Ted, in order to change the future.
In a great comedy pairing, Winter and Reeves excel to deliver delicious humour to the audience in this entertaining sequel. Though lacking the sharpness of the first, Bogus Journey still has the great catchphrases and dialogue from the leading pair, not to mention an hilarious performance by William Sadler, who brings a humorous side to the figure of depth, the grim reaper. Watch for the games sequences, the best moment in the entire film, but one of many great techniques used to justify the ... Read More:

While the cast and crew of "The Mist" will herald the Weinstein Brothers at press junkets and the like, the producing duo has made 2007's most refreshingly original horror films ("Grindhouse," "Halloween") sacrificial lambs to fright-unfriendly weekends (there's a good article on this at Dread Central.com). And while "The Mist" certainly commands a 30-foot screen, maybe its best possible fate lies on DVD, where viewers with surround sound and a widescreen TV can live the horrific, harrowing experience without the distraction of an audience too dumb to decipher their ticket stubs.
"What's wrong with Stephen King?!" one member asked at the climax of "The Mist," certain he had made an alternately incisive and hilarious comment. To which I thought, "Had you actually ... Read More:

In the sequel to Die Hard, John McClane is in trouble again when a group of criminals take control of an airport to bring an evil General safely and discreetly into the country.
After the success of the first, a sequel was inevitable and the action, the claustrophobia and most importantly, John McClane were all still there.
Bruce Willis (The Sixth Sense) has made John McClane into the ultimate male action hero, with a slick and sarcastic attitude towards life, and most importantly bad guys, and improvising a lot of his own work has made McClane an icon in the genre.
The support cast are also on top form, and provide plenty of tension to justify the scenarios, not to mention the extra humour they bring to the plot.

I was very disappointed with season 3. The previous season ended very well, with quite a gripping storyline and climax, but from the start season 3 seemed to just turn into a soap opera. There are some good storylines, but generally it seems to meander through a bunch of tedious relationship dramas which have little to do with the more individual themes of the series.

There is so much to like about Roswell, that you can watch the series over and over again. I have all three boxset series on DVD, but the first season is really special for me.
I liked all the characters at the Crashdown Cafe: Liz, Max, Maria, Michael, Isabel, Kyle, Sheriff Valenti and all. That's the beauty of the show: the characters, who you come to feel you know as you get caught up in their lives.
I especially loved the love story between Liz and Max (played by Shiri Appleby and Jason Behr), which was the inspiration for my song You Touch Me. Fans of the show seem to really like it, they tell me.
What makes Roswell different from other teen angst romance like Dawson's Creek is the really scary and spooky at times mix of X-Files-style sci-fi thriller. The storylines are really clever ... Read More:
