I took my 5 and 3 year olds to see this at the cinema, and although I really enjoyed it they found it really tough going. The first section is completely without dialogue, and if you aren't able to read then you completely miss the concept of an Earth taken over by one corporation that then results in destruction.

That said, they enjoyed the arrival of Eva, and my little boy cried when she 'died', but it then lost them again once aboard the space station.

Overall, a fantastic concept brilliantly executed, but not as entertaining for small people as Finding Nemo or Monsters Inc.

I have been trying to remember the first time I saw Walt Disney's "Sleeping Beauty," and I cannot remember if I ever saw it in a theater, caught it on television some time, or never sat down to watch it until it came out on videotape. What I did remember is not being particularly impressed by the movie. Certainly I did not consider it to be a classic Disney animated film like "Bambi" or "Cinderella," which is a way of saying that it was not on my "must have" list of Disney movies. Then I watched this 50th Anniversary Platinum Edition of "Sleeping Beauty" and all I can say is that however I saw this film for the first time it was NOT in this expanded version that has restored the original Super Technirama 70 dimensions of the film. Disney films have pretty much gone downhill since the "Hunchback of Notre Dame" animated movie. In that film, the heroine kicks men in the groin to make her escape and the comedy relief is provided by a stone gargoyle that relieves itself by passing gas.

In this film, we have a live dog urinating on the leg of a prince and a chipmunk that defecates when frightened.

Is this what passes for family entertainment these days?

I was going to buy the Snow buddies dvd but after reading the first review I checked the story. I read the pups were only 6 weeks old before being taken from their mother 2 died and some other pups contracted parvo. So this film certainly will not be in my grandson's christmas stocking.Snow Buddies [2008]

This film has to be one of if not THE best Disney film there is. The story is great, the voices perfect, the songs brilliant! My favourite song from Aladdin is probably Friend Like Me but that's because I love Genie. However, all the songs are great in this film, there's none that you roll your eyes to because Disney have that great way of including a lovely slowie into a film but still having the humour there (like with A Whole New World).

Loved this film when I was little and chuffed now that my littl'un loves it too. Great fun for family viewing and still funny for adults!

Great animation, characterization, sound, and imagery rule in "101 Dalmations." It's action, excitement and love, but with a dark theme that's a bit scary.

Each time I have seen a film from Pixar Studio, I have been impressed not only with its animation, but excellent plot too. This time, however, Pixar Studio has rendered a true cinematic animation masterpiece, one which should be recognized as memorable as the great Walt Disney films of the 1930s and 1940s. A masterpiece which ought to appeal to kids of all ages. In "Wall - E" Pixar has a spellbinding example - maybe the first - of a romantic science fiction thriller that lacks a dull moment, even though much of the film lacks substantial dialogue.
