She, the ultimate weapon or Saikano is a really fun to watch anime. it has it good sides and bad. the good is that the story line is like no other. It's heart warming and it makes you want to watch it over and over again.
bad side is that the animation was not as good. If they drew the faces etc more better. this anime would of made a hit. although it has. it could of done better. Also the box it came in. the box art was amazing. but the dvd cases in side the box was terrible. i got mine the first day and i could see they were cheap. also you can buy stronger dvd cases and just put the pictur into a new one.

4 stars for the boxing/animation.
5 stars for the act/storyline

Being the story of a schoolboy who discovers his girlfriend has been transformed into an unstoppable killing machine, you would think that there would be a lot of action but other than the odd short scene here and their there isn't much to be had. Instead rather than the action and the wider war this series details the troubled love story between the Shuji and his weaponised girlfriend Chise. Because of this I doubt that this series will appeal to those anime fans that favour the more violent end of the spectrum but if you don't mind a rather low key story with love triangles and such then you should like She, the Ultimate Weapon.

The second volume of this touching anime continues with what the first stated, detailing the strained relationship between Shuji and his weaponised girlfriend Chise. The four episodes in this volume see Chise misfire when an earthquake hits her school, one of the couples friends joins the military and Chise and Shuji attempting to go back to just being friends. This series continues to be beautifully made and although it isn't the action orientated anime I usually watch, it is still greatly entertaining.

This volume contains the final five episodes of this beautiful anime and it ratchets up the emotion as Chise and Shuji find a measure of peace before everything ends. Although I wasn't sure what I thought about this series at the beginning, now that I have watched it all the way through I think it is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. In this volume, old friends die, Chise continues to feel she is loosing her humanity and the love between her and Shuji grows. Brilliantly made and written She, The Ultimate Weapon is highly emotional and although it is not the action orientated show many would expect it is a marvellous series that had me in tears by the end.
