I have never watched a single episode of Sex And The City on tv, the whole concept and format of the show just didn't appeal to me, so when my mother in law asked me to go to the cinema to see the film, I was somewhat reluctant to go. However I went and was absolutely glued to the screen from start to finish!! The film was excellent and I felt that you didn't have to know anything from the tv series to watch it. Definetely a girls night in film with a bottle of wine and some tissues!

I pre-ordered the 2 disc special edition from Amazon and as promised it was delievered slap bang on my doorstep on its official release date. Well done Amazon. Anyhow saw the film at the pics, fantastic. Decided to buy this edition and boy what a waste of money. Stick to the normal edition. I thought there would be loads of interviews with the cast but there was just one with SJP and the writer Michael King. A look at the wardrobe dept. and a commentary on deleted scenes. Nothing too much to interest you there. If you are a big fan though you would probably invest in this edition but otherwise save your cash, buy the 1 disc DVD and purchase the soundtrack of the album (which is awesome) with the money you have saved.

I took my 5 and 3 year olds to see this at the cinema, and although I really enjoyed it they found it really tough going. The first section is completely without dialogue, and if you aren't able to read then you completely miss the concept of an Earth taken over by one corporation that then results in destruction.
That said, they enjoyed the arrival of Eva, and my little boy cried when she 'died', but it then lost them again once aboard the space station.
Overall, a fantastic concept brilliantly executed, but not as entertaining for small people as Finding Nemo or Monsters Inc.

As many before have kindly reviewed the story, I will leave at that. What I can add is that our 3 years old loved every second of it! Haven't been able to stop her from trying kung fu kicks since!

This is British stand up at it's best on TV. It's very similar to "Whose line is it anyway?", not surprising since Dan Patterson created both of them, but this is more spoken comedy and is topical. Most of the jokes are funny, if you catch them. Be warned if you're not British or aware of British politics some of the jokes will go over your head as they make jokes of the leader of the Liberal Democrat party. The best bits were "bad things to say ...", eg things you never hear announced over the tannoy.
My biggest disappointment is that there are no subtitles, which means when the comedians are going at full pelt it's difficult to hear what was said (hence the 3 stars). Several times, I had to rewind to try to get the jokes. In this day and age, there ... Read More:

Friends: Complete Series 1 - 10 (30 Disc Box Set) [1995]
I got mine at a very brilliant £84 something (Inc P&P). And as the person below says you have got to get the timing right. At first i thought is was too good to be true but it's still sealed and evrything's in good order. I would highly recomment this to any hardcore fan! Although ashame as most people said that there's no bonus footage but that didn't put me off and i am really happy to of made my purchase! Best £85 spent in my whole life!

I'm pretty certain if you're looking to buy this, you're not a new-comer to the series, so I won't break it down for you - so many reviews on each season for pick from, I won't bore you. Course if you are a new-comer... sorry. Simply reason for this review, is to tell you exactly what you're getting from this instead of the individual boxsets. Firstly, space-saver. Sounds stupid, maybe, but for those that are racing up 100s or 1000s of DVDs, it's a valid point, (yeah, that would be me, of course) and it is a growing problem. Secondly, you get extras that weren't on the originals, though flipside, if you have the first edition of Season One, (the 'format problem' one in the red case), you miss out on the extras on this, if you're swapping/up-grading). The extras aren't ... Read More:

Absolutely hilarious - and like Queen Victoria, I'm not easily amused. All of the characters are likeable and off the wall. I hope they are going to make a follow-up because I would definately pre-order it.

One star and five star reviews for this film should be laughed at, as you will many great moments in the first half of this film.
At some point the laughs had to run out, there is only so much script in an alcoholic super hero.
When that happens and the plot twist occurs, which many will see coming, you've just got to enjoy looking at the tunning Charlize Theron and patiently await the end of the film.
