This is British stand up at it's best on TV. It's very similar to "Whose line is it anyway?", not surprising since Dan Patterson created both of them, but this is more spoken comedy and is topical. Most of the jokes are funny, if you catch them. Be warned if you're not British or aware of British politics some of the jokes will go over your head as they make jokes of the leader of the Liberal Democrat party. The best bits were "bad things to say ...", eg things you never hear announced over the tannoy.
My biggest disappointment is that there are no subtitles, which means when the comedians are going at full pelt it's difficult to hear what was said (hence the 3 stars). Several times, I had to rewind to try to get the jokes. In this ... Read More:

Friends: Complete Series 1 - 10 (30 Disc Box Set) [1995]
I got mine at a very brilliant £84 something (Inc P&P). And as the person below says you have got to get the timing right. At first i thought is was too good to be true but it's still sealed and evrything's in good order. I would highly recomment this to any hardcore fan! Although ashame as most people said that there's no bonus footage but that didn't put me off and i am really happy to of made my purchase! Best £85 spent in my whole life!

I'm pretty certain if you're looking to buy this, you're not a new-comer to the series, so I won't break it down for you - so many reviews on each season for pick from, I won't bore you. Course if you are a new-comer... sorry. Simply reason for this review, is to tell you exactly what you're getting from this instead of the individual boxsets. Firstly, space-saver. Sounds stupid, maybe, but for those that are racing up 100s or 1000s of DVDs, it's a valid point, (yeah, that would be me, of course) and it is a growing problem. Secondly, you get extras that weren't on the originals, though flipside, if you have the first edition of Season One, (the 'format problem' one in the red case), you miss out on the extras on this, if you're swapping/up-grading). ... Absolutely hilarious - and like Queen Victoria, I'm not easily amused. All of the characters are likeable and off the wall. I hope they are going to make a follow-up because I would definately pre-order it.

Only gets 1 star because that's how many times I laughed through all 3 series. "One of the few genuine british comedies" they said. After watching this rubbish, that statement is funnier than anything in this. Can't even begin to describe how bad this is. Was totally sucked in by all the good reviews. I must be on a completely different comedy level to the people who gave these reviews. I want my money back NOW!!

Thought I'd have a quick peep when it dropped on my doormat, ended up watching all six episodes in the same day! Can't wait to watch the second series.
A great series that thankfully doesn't fall into the obvious sit com scenarios that you think it's going to.

Good news Vinnie Chase and his boys E, Drama, Turtle and Ari are back. One of the best shows on TV sadly not well known in the UK. Season 4 starts off with Vinn making his long awaited Medellin with E producing and Walsh directing. Hoping this movie will cement Vincents super stardom and finally put some money back in his account! Thankfully everything you love about entourage is back - great cameos including Anna Faris, Stephen Gagan, Snoop-Dog, Dennis Hooper and Kanye West to name but a few. Thankfully fan favourites Ari and Drama are as funny as ever with Billy Walsh given a bigger part and the music is fantastic as ever. If you like the previous seasons you will like this and If you have never seen entourage go get season 1. Sadly the only drawbacks ... Read More:

It's Family Guy, you either love it or hate it and no amount of gushing from me will change your mind. If you're interested I gave it 4 stars because although the episodes in the set are still blummin' good, it's not the best Family Guy has ever been.
It's important to point out that there is nothing new in this set. ALL the episodes have already been shown on BBC3 and so please don't rush into thinking you're getting in ahead of TV audiences because you're not.
Make a note also of the comments from other reviewers here regarding this not being a complete series and then write to your MP to complain!

Series 3 is sort of uneven - three standout episodes that are strong enough to overwhelm the lazy, self indulgent strand running through all six. The main problem for me was that they brought to the fore those wonderful details that added unique texture in series 1 & 2. For example, crimping. Before crimping had a name, it was something that cropped up every now and then in a natural, brilliant sort of way. In series three there's an entire episode dedicated to crimping. Knowing it's something that can be taught, can be practiced and even copied just sorta cheapened it. The same goes for the Council of Shamen, and particularly Tony Harrison who's been transformed into a hard living drug fiend.
The other big problem is that the Boosh now inhabit the same space as ... Read More:

Infact, this is better than Peep show. It's a funny look at real life, and at no point do you think "that would never happen". Every epsiode practically has me peeing myself with laughter.
Although its called Gavin and Stacey, I actually think the show is all about Smithy, Nessa and Bryn, as well as Gavin's parents, as they are the best characters. I've lent series one to loads of people, and they've all loved it. I can't reccommend it enough.
Comedy genius.
