This review is based on watching the "original theatrical version" (1977) which is on the Bonus Disc in this 2 Disc DVD.

There is stellar charm from C3PO, R2D2, Princess Leia, Skywalker, and Hans Solo. The pace of the film is also very good. The audience follows the story much through the eyes of narrators C3PO and R2D2. That, ladies and gentleman, is why this film is pretty innovative.

Star Wars doesn't really become truly galactic until Empire Strikes Back.

A good solid horror film,equal to 28 days later.
Very few horror films in the last few years have characters you begin to care about as the film progresses,the build up might seem slow to some people,but it gives you a chance to get to know the mercs and their individual characters,so you do begin to worry whats gonna happen to them,they all acted their parts very well,the story might not be the most original but it worked very well and kept you wondering what was gonna happen next.Definatly worth a watch for any horror fan.

Considered a good demo film for blu-ray but not as startlingly good as for example Planet Earth. The film is quite different to most Bond films and lacks the futuristic gadgets of the others. It has a lot of violence for a 12 rated film but fortunately none is too explicit - and the absence of unnecessary swearing is a welcome relief. Might take you some time to understand what the film is all about, but you do have nearly two and a half hours to catch up!

All the other reviews I have seen are by people who are either utterly fascinated by the movie, or who state their opinions on the different versions. Perhaps I stand out, but I don't really care about previous versions, and more importantly, did not find the film enjoyable at all.

I may be and outsider here: I didn't attempt to look at the theme, the execution or anything. I just rented a movie, hoping to be entertained and possibly given something to think about. And for entertainment purposes, this isn't very good unless you are actually into sci-fi. It's quite confusing, and the story wasn't very engaging. It might just be too heavy, and requires too much commitment for me to feel it was worth the attention on a friday night.

The reason that these movies are so popular is because there is a little bit of Indiana Jones in all of us. We enjoy the mystery of cloak and dagger, the excitement of exploring new places, the fun of discovery and the adventurous spirit that is deep rooted in all of us.

George Lucas and Stephen Spielberg were able to tap into their own psyche as boys and have done an exceptional job of bringing our dreams to life in the form of a character appropriately named...Indiana Jones!

Okay, first of all, technically I saw the Batman movies the wrong way round, i.e. I saw The Dark Knight first, which is really incredible, a definite must-see for anyone. About a month later, I watched Batman Begins and I wanted to feel the same way, but I was left wanting more.

Don't get me wrong, it gives a brilliant insight into the character of Bruce Wayne, and a thoroughly satisfying origin of Batman, as well as several fantastic action sequences and some hilarious scenes of Batman beating up mob gangs (which I always find really funny for some reason).

I loved the Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy. It had everything, Horror, Comedy, Action and Romance. And the characters were simply brilliant.
The Curse of the Black Pearl
The film is set in and around the Caribbean were a notorious pirate turns up in a small British Port. Soon after the Black Pearl turns up and steals the Governer's Daughter (Keira Knightley). So Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnney Depp) and Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) chase after them.
Dead Man's Chest
This film sees the entrance of Davy Jones (Bill Nighy) and the Flying Dutchman. It seems that Rolling Stone magazine thought that this one of the best films of 2007. If I had known that that was their view, I would not have bought it! Pretentious rubbish, virtually no real plot, no interesting dialogue, quite interesting locations. Amusing here and there and really nicely filmed in terms of photography but overall a pretty complete waste of time for all concerned.

THe story: three brothers, after father's death in New York City and on a journey of ? self discovery in India suffer a few changes of plan. The mother has become a kind of Christian abbess in the same country. We are not told why (about anything, in fact). Why why why (make a film like this)???
