National Treasure: Book of Secrets is everything a big budget adventure sequel should be. A bigger story and better action help make Book of Secrets a surprising crowd pleaser.
Setting out to clear his ancestor's name, Ben Gates is back in treasure-hunting action to unequivocally prove that his family had nothing to do with the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. With his usual cohorts Riley, Abigail and his father, Patrick Gates, the trio must race against the clock to stop a new enemy, Mitch Wilkinson, from uncovering an ancient treasure before they can, or forever risk the Gates name being associated with the death of one of America's greatest presidents. Book of Secrets is crammed packed with puzzles, car chases and exciting ... Read More:

Prison Break series 1 was one of the most original television series I have seen. Season 2 tended to stretch the imagination a little bit, and so I didn't expect much from series 3. Due to the writer's strike this season is much shorter, but I think this really works in PB's favour. Because we are treated to 22 normal episodes squeezed into just 13 episodes, the action is fast and the plot is constantly evolving at high speed. It makes for very exciting viewing.
For me, William Fichtner (Mahone) and Wade Williams (Bellick) steal the series and both play superb roles, each having their own personal struggles.
Sadly I feel this series falls short because it leaves you asking huge questions from a very early point. For example, ... Read More:

The film begins well, and the whole of the Italian part is fascinating, and holds one's interest. But once the plot, such as it is, moves to England, things begin to go downhill. The pace slows down to a crawl, the acting flags a little, and the dullness of the original novel begins to show through. E.M. Forster was obsessed with the hypocrisy, as he saw it, of the well-to-do English middle class in the early 1900s, and the novel is all about the virtually unbridgeable gap between staid and snobbish conventional well-to-do folk on the one hand, and broad-minded free thinkers on the other. The film succeeds brilliantly in conveying the stuffy, suffocating atmosphere of Edwardian upper middle class life as perceived by Forster, but unfortunately ... Read More:

After accidentally buying 6 copies of this film, I decided I'd watch it until I loved it. It was pure cheese, with precious American teens singing in often nasal voices. On the surface it's something that I would usually hate - but somehow, it drew me in. This isn't to say that the plot was thrilling, well written, or easily defined as a plot at all - but it was enough to keep me in my seat and entertained well enough. Even though this isn't a shining review - I would recommend watching it if it's available to borrow - but not worth buying perhaps.

Fawlty Towers is definitely among the top 5 comedies ever made. This DVD has both series and an extras disc. I have to say, although better than nothing at all (which is what the BBC seems to like to give some of it's classics, i.e. Only Fools and Horses) the extras aren't that brilliant. There's a couple of out takes, which are funny, and brief profiles of the actors. The interviews with the stars are long and, although it was interesting to find out what inspired the series and the characters, I ended up turning them off before the end because I was starting to get a bit bored of them.
The series itself is classic, there's no two ways about it, and most certainly deserves 5 stars on its own. Scenes like "Don't mention the war" and "Waldorf Salad", ... Read More:

The sequel to the hyped up musical event of 2006:High School Musical.
When this first came out I did have doubts about it as many had said the first one was annoying and this and that. I had never seen the first one before i saw number 2. I admit to first seeing it as a dare from my immature friends and i actually enjoyed it. It has an ok story line, fun jump about and dance songs and some great lyrics. All of the cast have done a brilliant job on this film. And seriously, if ur one of those people who refuses to watch it cos its uncool or whatever, I did and i think its great. and a great follow up to HSM.

Whilst the Writers' Strike left this season feeling a little empty, the quality of the show continues to shine through. The conclusion to the Sara Saga is excellently pulled off and will certainly bring a tear to the eye of the most faithful CSI fan. Some of the episodes are a bit poor - such as the story of the young lad who develops breasts - but these are balanced out by the other episodes.
Shame there's not as many episodes as there normally are but worth the purchase all the same.
