Cars has been out for a while now and it has accrued some critical baggage with many reviews saying that this is the moment when Pixar jumps the shark. The company's 7th film is the first directed by guiding light and Toy Story creator Lassetter since Toy Story 2 and it is, almost unquestionably, their worst film. However this is Pixar, their worst is better than a lot of people's best. The story is simple. Racecar Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) falls from the truck transporting him across country to his big race and ends up in a backwater town called radiator springs. There he meets cars that are at first suspicious of him but become his friends. Lets begin with the problems. There are, unusually, for a Pixar film, many of them. ... Read More:

This is a super tale with some real strong acting. I have waited for some time for this to come out on DVD and have not been disappointed.
At times the truth has been changed a little -but that does not take away from a great film.

This is one of my all time favourite shows. A must have for any self respecting sci-fi fan and comedy lover. Show to show it gets better and better and has one of the most satisfying ends to a tv show.
It follows the adventures of a group of 20 somethings that you will undoubtedly have more in common with than Ross or Rachel. Tim and Daisy's will they won't they really reveals the real meaning of friendship and relationships.
Shaun of the Dead is one of my fav movies so my expectations for this were fairly low because of what it had to compete with but my God the utter hilarity. It is genius, the nods to a million and one movies, to Tim's constant hatred of phantom menace, to random nods to grange hill and the royle family ... Read More:

The stories are wafer-thin and undemanding, but they are entertaining for all that. They are perhaps as believable as 'Dr Who' but at under £30 for the box they are a good buy for many hours of good clean fun.
'Hard of Hearing' sub titles are available. The map is not worth the paper its printed on.

For those who are regular watchers of Family Guy you will already know how easily they parody TV shows and movies in sketches that literally last a few seconds. Now they've decided to go one better and make a feature length episode as a parody of Star Wars Episode 4, and let me tell you this is just as strong as those few second long clips. Here is the scrolling writing that Star Wars is famous for but with a Family Guy twist on it all.
A long time ago, but somehow in the future.
Episode IV
It is a time of civil war,
and renegade paragraphs
floating through space.
There's cool space battles,
and the bad guy is the
good guy's dad, but you
don't find that out 'til the
next episode.

From season 1 to 6 I have never seen a bad one of these. Some episodes out-weigh more than others, however the acting never get's weak. This is really for people that haven't seen part 2 is that it is worth the viewing...I am just gutted that the show is over......well who knows...

After 50+ years of enjoying cinema, films of all types..but mostly films that engage the audience and require input...I have never complained about a Director of Photography before....every episode of "Rome" that mentioned the dreaded Marco Pontecorvo as the DOP..stand by for an amateur version of "The Shield"-all hand held..in your face,up your bum-whatever..wobbly picture, jerky background, cast walking right across the foreground of the frame-absolute RUBBISH..and with a famous Director as his father!!!- a little man with a massive ego..and directors letting him get away with it?Although this element stinks the place out-everything else about "Rome" is superb.

Wow, what a fantastic series! And to see our planet from such a different view!
First of all, I am not one for watching nature documentaries, (can't stand all that blood and gore when a prey is caught and torn to bits) but I caught a glimpse of this series, when previewed on Oprah, and thought my hubby would like it, and got it for him. All I can say is that I was the one who devoured every minute of it. There was no gut-churning bloody imagery, so it was right up my alley and I was riveted.
Every episode is packed with images so beautiful and breathtaking that it will leave you speechless by the splendor of it all. All I can say, if you're like me, give this a chance and watch it. You won't make a mistake. It will bring tears to your eyes to see what a wonderful and amazing planet we live in. ... Read More:

I watched this film with my family, and I don't know about them, but I loved it. It is a film that sticks in your mind because it makes you feel warm inside. It gets the balance between comedy and romance perfectly and it is now one of my favourite films.
