I have wanted to watch this movie ever since it came out, and especially after I read the book. Although it is quite different from the book, which I love also, I thought the film was absolutely wonderful. I don't agree with anyone who says don't watch it because it is nothing like the book. a book i s a book and a film is a film. The book is brilliant, but the film is also brilliant in its own way.
I don't know how many times I started to cry in this film, I lost count. The acting is outstanding and the way the film is put together is really good too. you still get the escence of the book. Yes, there are some characters taken out, a different setting and it goes a different way sometimes, but it isn't the book as a film, it is ... Read More:

Ellen Page (Hard candy) stars as Juno, a teenager who falls pregnant and doesn't want the baby for herself.
In all its hype and being a huge fan of the drama genre and J.K Simmons (Spiderman) I was really looking forward to this. I had a reasonable day at work and sat down ready to be enticed into the trauma of a young girl with a load on her shoulders, but in a way, this Oscar nominated picture kind of strayed from her emotions in the first hour, which I felt was a big mistake. A 16 year old who is carrying a baby that belongs to the love of her life who has suddenly gone cold on her, and she isn't bothered by this massive burden ahead of her? Ok a rough past may have made her grow up, but still some emotion at the beginning would ... Read More:

Well it seems that a lot more people than I realised didn't like this movie, which is a little disappointing as I thought it was pretty good, ok so it isn't in the same league as Liman's Bourne Identity, but it's a pretty original and entertaining slice of sci-fi fun! In this respect it's refreshing that it doesn't take itself too seriously like so many other sci-fi films that try to be too 'epic' for their own good when they clearly just don't have the legs for it! The concept of teleportation is really interesting and Liman does an excellent job of conveying it on screen both visually and by explaining the mechanics behind it - clever stuff. However there are several disappointing aspects to this film, the main one is Hayden Christensen who is an ... Read More:

This is a terrible film, it was very short and and quite irritating as it was very hard to watch,, when the alien bit came on if it was alien that was interesting but you dont see much of that, there was too much camera going on and it was more like a documentary, not my cup of tea, ive see n better and it was a waste of time, there was no thrill inthe movie and the actors were ridiculous!... dont watch it!

I went to see this film with a friend and that is how it is supposed to be viewed, now thats over with I want to say i loved this film as a young man i still managed to connect with many of the characters and even shed a slight tear when the wedding didn't go as planned it was funny and moving and a lot like the series which was a big bonus. Its completely overdone and emotional and heartwarming its a real feel good movie and one worth buying merely for those down moments. It is exactly what the cinema going audience needed a big hug in film form and is up there with Wall-E (one of the best films i think iv ever seen) for best film of the year so far.

This weekend the latest season review arrived in my mailbox. It was with great anticipation that I put it in the DVD player, hoping it would live up to the standard of the previous seasons. I'm happy to say it does.
For me the following are important in a season review:
1. Easy access to all matches.
2. Chapter marks at the beginning of each match, so one can skip the interviews on repeated viewings.
3. Matches are shown chronologically.
4. All matches are included, except maybe friendlies.
5. Each match highlight includes chances from both teams.
6. The picture quality should be the best available.
This season review scores 5 stars on all points. I'm not sure how anyone can give this product ... Read More:

A complete must see - the most compelling and thought provoking film I have seen in a long time. It really does open your eyes to the realities of todays world. Brilliant! One for the library.

Why do they get it wrong so often: Bought it, because it promised German soundtrack, the print on the DVD itself (Temple of Doom) show all the age limits: English, Irish, German, Spanish and a RED ONE (Italian ?), returned it - of course

Having read the book, I knew the historical accuracy would be shaky as it was based on what is now largely discredited research. When it comes to the film, it's virtually non-existent. Yes, Anne fell in love with Henry Percy (although she didn't marry him), yes Anne was renowned for her wit - the scene where she has a crowd of people laughing around her is probably not far off - and yes, Henry overturned the Catholic church, became head of the Church of England and executed a number of people who didn't support the changes because she wouldn't sleep with him. And errm, oh yes, she did wear a gable hood, ermine and a grey damask dress for her execution.
Visually, the film is fantastic. A few historical inaccuracies in the costumes but the deliniation of class ... Read More:

Is it just me or is it that sooooo much of Torchwood is about Gwen??? Is it wrong to hate her for this???
Anyway, rant over. This was a truly wicked series (Even better than the first). Clever, Fast, Emotional, Tense, Exciting, Sexy, Sad, Funny. What more can you ask for??
In my opinion, I would ask for more on Ianto. He is my favourite character, with so much potentional, and yet he is mainly ignored!!
More Ianto and Jack too. They make a cute couple. Go away Gwen, you have Rhys!!!!
