Great collection, but yes there are a lot of cuts here, and in some of the very best cartoons. The worst offender is the Oscar-winning "The Little Orphan", in which the whole climactic sequence has had to be butchered and re-edited - ruined, really - to accommodate the excision of a blackface gag. (Oddly though, "Mouse Cleaning" and "Casanova Cat", the two cartoons with the most blatant blackface gags, are included unscathed. If you want to get upset by a 50-year old cartoon, there's your chance.)
These cartoons aren't just fun diversions for the kids, they're important pieces of cultural history. We might not like some of the attitudes they reflect, but to pretend they never existed is to invite them to return. If you're afraid of offending anyone, ... Read More:

All I can say is that this programme is brilliant. I have just purchased season 4 from the UK and totally enjoyed every episode. Well acted, well written with good story lines. All I want now is season 5 to become available. How long are going to have to wait? Not too long I hope.

Sense and Sensibility, directed by Ang Lee with a screenplay written by Emma Thompson, made up one part of the holy trinity of Austen productions which aired in 1995. That crowning year for Austenmania began with the BBC production of Persuasion in April 1995 (starring Amanda Root and Ciáran Hinds), followed by the impeccable BBC version of Pride and Prejudice (starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle) in September and October, and was capped off in mid-December by this film version of Sense and Sensibility. Emma Thompson's much-praised screenplay (for which she won an Oscar and a Golden Globe) straddles the difficult divide between pleasing the community of Jane Austen purists and making the 1811 novel appealing to a wider audience of cinema-goers with a bent for ... We watch four middle aged men enter a down-at-heal office. They take seats around a table. Thay say nothing. One at the end coughs and asks "Shall we begin?" One to the side huffs audibly and then the opening credits rolls.
How brave a start is that? Who would start a major TV serial like that these days? Ive seen "Tinker Tailor..." five times now and look forward to watching it a again. If there was a fire and I could run to save just one DVD this would be the one.

I have never done a Ministry of Sound DVD before so perhaps I was expecting something different but overall I was a bit disappointed - I enjoyed the warm-up and the 'Aeroburn' but found the Dance section (and to a certain extent the Boxing as well) very difficult to follow.
I thought that with a lot of previous dance experience that I wouldn't struggle too much, but the routines are frustratingly complex and only briefly explained - several attempts and major concentration required.
If you are looking for something that you can just power through and feel good afterwards, then this is probably not for you.

House, can only be described as brilliant. Not in the way as a teenager would describe it in the way of being cool or just generally entertaining, but brilliant as in genius. I could talk about season one for hours as it's truly the season that defines the character and sets in stone Hugh Laurie's cracking of America. Hugh Laurie, for those who don't know is a famous British comic actor best known for his work with Stephen Fry. Such shows as Jeeves & Wooster, A Bit of Fry & Laurie & Blackadder made this man a true comic god. Upon hearing that Hugh had taken up the role as the American Dr. Gregory House, I'm sure a lot of people took a big sigh and said to themselves "Oh, please god no." How wrong those people were when Laurie stepped onto the screen in the pilot ... Read More:

Ugly Betty is easily one of the best comedy shows of recent years and despite winning various awards including Emmys and Golden Globes, is criminally unwatched by many viewers.
The second series picks up exactly where the last one left off - the fate of Santos (Kevin Alejandro), Hilda's (Ana Ortiz) boyfriend is revealed, the true result of Daniel (Eric Mabius) and Alexis' (Rebecca Romijn) accident becomes clear and Wilhelmina (Vanessa Williams) is still plotting to marry Bradford and take over from Daniel as Editor of Mode - and is just as charming, bright, bubbly and melodramatic as ever.
Ferrera cannot be beat as Betty, oozing with charm and appeal to create a truly lovable character who is very hard to dislike. Betty's relationship with Henry (Christopher ... Read More:

I watched this on TV and I was grateful not to have watched in the cinema.
The plot is simple and has potencial for a good comedy but sadly apart from Thandie Newton there is very little else to admire in this film .
From the tecnichal side of things , the running training , race etc is woeful and I hope no one takes it seriously ( ie overtake the top runners in a marathon after a few minutes ).
