I agree they maybe some bad points about any show but give atlantis a chance it is usually in the 1st 5 years of any show if they have that long to try to impress their fanbase and despite the fact that yes they bring characters over from 1 show to the other but that is usually to improve the show and that is what i think they have done in introducing Amanda Tapping's Col Samantha Carter to the show they made the storylines more impressive i really think that the whole season was great and even though it turns out that they are replacing Carter with Robert Picardos Character Richard Woolsey next season i will still be watching the show.

Having watched the first three series, I would say that this one is my favourite and series 2 is my least favourite (although still worthy of five stars). Having said that, without a lot of important build up in series 2, especially within the Barksdale empire, series 3 couldn't have had the same impact. On a general note, and this applies to all the series, the viewing experience is extraordinary and I think a lot of that is down to the fact that we've been blessed with so many hours with these characters. A particular standout scene for me was when McNulty confronts D'Angelo's mother. Amazing acting, with the emotional force that only plot markers planted long before can create. The whole film was, in my opinion, a complete shambles! The story is fragmented and poorly written and most importantly was completely devoid of any humour. I see that this film has split the audience and I side with the haters on this one. And I hate to do that. I loved the series and thought it was a travesty it was cancelled but if this is the best they can do then maybe it was better gone and leaving us with 4 seasons of top quality comedy.

I didn't actually think i would like sex and the city. I bought it on dvd and absoloutely loved it. I think that everyone who watches this loves it. Sex and the City is amazing i don't know what i'd do without it.

Like everyone else that leaves a review I have watched this series (I finished season 4 last night), I wish to god I hadn't but like Magnus Magneson "I've started so I'll finish!" with no spoilers here's a quick outline of the plot
Season 1 (24 episodes) There's a plane crash, survivors chill out on beach
Season 2 (23 episdes) They chill out on the beach some more
season 3 (22 episodes) yup.. still on the beach
season 4 (13 episodes...due to writers strike) they're on the beach and yep.. yes something is happening.. yep i can sense it.. it's all about to get.. no no wait.. hang on.. no nothing happens!

Can't wait for season 5!

The episodes themselves are excellent, but I felt I must deduct one star for Momentum's cost-cutting (or greed?) by not including ANY extras whatsoever, not even the most obvious candidate: the 2006 Christmas special ("On the Edge") in this set. Series 3 was only 7 episodes long (vs. series 2), so I can't believe it would be a problem of space. More likely, they held it back so they can charge us full "season" price for the one episode.

What makes this more regrettable is there are one or two references in these episodes to events that happened in "On the Edge" (i.e. Louisa's father). At the very least, they should have released the special BEFORE putting out series 3. Let's hope that if they DO release "On the Edge" later this year, ... Read More:

'There Will Be Blood' is probably THE Marmite film of the decade. If you're not from the UK, you might need me to explain. We have a foodstuff called Marmite which is made from yeast extract, a bi-product of the brewing process. It's got a weird, salty, beefy kind of taste, but it's quite tasty on toast. Well... some people think it's tasty. People who like Marmite LOVE Marmite, and people who hate it retch at the very thought of it. Thus, 'There Will Be Blood' is a Marmite film. Personally, I'm in the camp that loves it.
The cinematography is stunning, as good as Kubrick at his best, and Johnny Greenwood's jangling, atonal score suits the film's jittery, tense mood perfectly. Day Lewis's performance eventually reaches the point of hysteria ... Read More:

It does what it says on the box - House M.D. series 3. All 24 episodes spread over 6 discs.

What a wonderful TV show. If you loved series 1 & 2 them you'll love this. The character of House is as brilliant as ever and steals the show. There are some episodes where you don't like the guy much but that all adds to his complex character. The other characters all get a chance to shine at various points throughout the series also.

Regarding bonus material, I found the 20 minute featurette on disc 6 the best (based on The Jerk episode). You get interviews with the main actors and that was really enough for me. The Only other successful Re-Imagining of a Classic Show other than this is DOCTOR WHO. But BATTLESTAR GALACTICA has done well as a sci-fi drama kicking the original out of the Galaxy.

A True Representation of Television made good.
When I first heard of it i thought "Yet again, They'll screw it up." But the New version grabbed me from the Pre Title on the Miniseries right until the Cliffhanger. starting on the First Season Currently then moving on to seasons 2 & 3 (Already Seen RAZOR - Not a Bad Film).

When my cousin first showed me the Mighty Boosh about a year ago, I hated it. I thought it was just weird! But after watching a few more episodes, I because addicted! I have now watched every single episode, and Series 3 is by far the best series yet (but Series 1 and 2 are still great). I'm so hooked that I'm going to see them live in January 09. Let's hope they make a 4th Series!
