A fine DVD of the classic western famous for the witty by-play between Newman and Redford and the luminous photography by the distingushed Conrad Hall, this has some interesting extras, most of all a rarely-seen documentary of the film with fascinating behind the scenes footage, narrated by the director George Roy Hill.PARENTS BE WARNED!! though;Hill comes out with a few choice expletives during his commentary,so it should not be shown to young children. The DVD notes should've made this clearer, but barring this minor quibble it's an excellent all-round package of one of Hollywood's best remembered westerns.

What an improvement from the original by Ang Lee! I watched it for the 2nd time recently and still found it really enjoyable. Norton certainly adds to the depth of Banner in the way Bana couldn't. Even Liv Tyler and William Hurt (both actors who i don't really like) are both good in their respective roles. The cgi/action scenes involving the hulk are excellent and more than make up for the travesty of a few years ago. However i still think Edward Norton's Banner is the star of the show. The only down side to the film was the rather goofy portrayal of the scientist who helps Banner towards the end of the film (who may become the Leader if there is a third film). As the summer comic book films go, both this and Iron man are far, far better than ... Read More:

Malkovich is once again mesmerising as the tragic but memorable Lennie, a simple minded man born into a cruel world. Senise plays his inseparable buddy and guardian, George, and you feel for him as he struggles hard to cope with looking after the difficult Lennie, mainly because the harsh world doesn't have the time or patience to understand such a man whose behavior can be a little worrying and eccentric. The stretched out wheat fields make a great movie landscape and the mood of the era is quite well defined, it seems. Then you come to the humanity of the famous story, the painful humanity that will not leave you, just as the pain will not leave George, who is forced into making a unenviable decision, by circumstances. A good film version which succeeds in ... Read More:

I'll leave others to write a full review - this is just a quick note to anyone thinking of purchasing the set, to inform them that it contains 'Mrs McGinty's Dead', 'Cat Among the Pigeons', 'Third Girl' and 'Appointment With Death' (the latter has not, as yet, been broadcast in the UK). I know it has been a point of confusion among Poirot fans whether the fourth episode would be included in the set - I can confirm (having seen images of the back cover) that it is indeed included. Hope this helps!

If you're a rock fan, buy it. I was there that night so this was a must buy for me but Dave Grohl put it best and I quote "welcome to the best f*****g night of my whole entire life". He's a big time Zep fan and seeing him back on drums with Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones playing like it's 1977 again is worth the asking price alone. This is one for those Saturday nights when you've been out and had a few beers, get home and want to carry on partying; stick it on, turn it up and dream of Madison Square Garden in the 70s. Simply awesome.

Am a huge fan of NCIS, keeps you on the edge of your seats! Mark Harmon plays an absolutely brilliant role in this and the remaining cast are fantastic! A real must for all TV addicts! Cant wait for the next series to be released!

One Tree Hill - Series 5 I was unsure how skipping 4 years was going to turn out, after Dawsons Creek going downhill when they left high school I was worried OTH would be the same. I was pleased to find out I was wrong, infact I think this is up there along with the 1st series and maybe even better. I like how they've grown up and with extra characters like the utterly cute Jamie it makes it even better. I just love Brooke's storyline at the end of the series, it shows her not to be the self centred Brooke that we know. If you haven't seen it yet its a must!

This film has to be one of if not THE best Disney film there is. The story is great, the voices perfect, the songs brilliant! My favourite song from Aladdin is probably Friend Like Me but that's because I love Genie. However, all the songs are great in this film, there's none that you roll your eyes to because Disney have that great way of including a lovely slowie into a film but still having the humour there (like with A Whole New World).
Loved this film when I was little and chuffed now that my littl'un loves it too. Great fun for family viewing and still funny for adults!

After the tragic film adaptation of Gregory's bestselling novel starring Natalie Portman and Scarlet Johansson I was somewhat relieved when I discovered this lesser known BBC adaptation of the Other Boleyn Girl.
To start with the story remains not only a truer account of history but indeed a more faithful adaptation of Gregory's brilliant book. It moves along at a steady pace allowing no time for boredem and while understandably details have been omitted/altered (most notably the order of Mary's children: in this film Henry is born first and Catherine second, while there is surprisingly no mention of Anne) this does not affect the overall quality of this movie. The script is reasonably well-written despite its lack of witty one-liners that in my opinion are the ... Read More:
