I loved this film. I had heard of it before, but never bothered to watch it as didn't think it would be my thing. One day, I was bored and decided to watch it. From start to finish I was captivated by this film. And when it ended, I was sad. Really sad. What I loved most is how realistic it made it, you could almost feel the chemistry between the two and although I always wanted her to end up with Noah, you kind of like understand why it doesn't fit. But then it does. It shows how enduring love can be over all other forces, and really inspires people to show more love to their loved ones.

Watched this recently, have to agree with some of the other reviews on here, very disappointing. Some great performances, notably oscar winner Javier Bardem, but a difficult film to follow if you haven't read the book.

Do yourself a favour, and do just that. Cormac McCarthy is one of the greatest living writers in the English language.

Let's hope the forthcoming adaption of his book 'The Road' fares better...

I watched this with my girlfriend and she (like a lot of women I hear) was in floods of tears.

Call me a "typical bloke" if you will, but I was not emotionally drawn into it. I didn't see any chemistry between Swank and Butlers characters so never really bought their relationship. I thought Swanks character had better chemistry with that of Connick Jrs.

Anyhow, it's an ok film with some funny moments - had the casting been a bit better I too may have had a tear in my eye

Quite simply this is brilliant. Producing the book as a TV series gave the director the opportunity to indulge in Waugh's lush and vivid text and whole sections of the book are quoted verbatim. And of course, in hindsight, the casting was inspired, with Jeremy Irons as Rider and Anthony Andrews as the rather beautiful Sebastian Flyte. But don't forget such cameo's as Nikolas Grace as the effete Anthony Blanche - masterful!
The film I understand, leaves a lot to be desired, so better to buy this AND read the book. You will regret buying neither.

sadly misses the mark in comparison with the first series which was brilliant!
i don't know what it is with this series but i have really not clicked with it. found it difficult to get into and the characters weak. the costumes and scenes are fabulous and some bits were nice but personally watching it one on the bbc was enough for me.

This is the only version of Pride and Prejudice worth watching so far, and I can't imagine it being bettered. The casting of the actors is perfect, the writing is as true to the book as is possible and it has been immaculately researched, resulting in excellent, believable sets and locations. Don't waste your money on Hollywood productions. This is produced by Sue Birtwhistle, also responsible for Cranford. That should say it all.

Iron Man is a great film, in fact it is my personal favourite of 2008 just beating out the Dark Knight for me, and far superior to Indy 4.

Robert Downey Jr really does make the film, and his portrayal of Tony Stark is right on the money, credit must also go to Jon Favreau (Who never seems to get a mention) for great direction that never gets silly or insults the intelligence of the audience (Like so many superhero films do).

Good job guys, can't wait for the second one!!!

Riveting television, Spooks 6 is must see spy on spy action. Directors, writers and actors are all masters of the art of rising tension. Shifting alliances, plot reversals and twist upon twist, this is the best thriller series I've seen for a long time hands down.

What I love about this show is just when you think you've got each episode pinned, bang, something comes along to turn your prediction on its head. Wonderful performances from the central cast as well, but one to watch of the 'drop ins' is Agni Scott who plays Ana Bakhshi the wife of the Iranian Ambassador. She is heartbreakingly good. Do yourself a favour and watch this.
