Foret 24 or Lost or ANYTHING that's ever been on TV, video/DVD or in cinema. The Shield simply is the BEST THAT'S EVER BEEN FILMED. Also I have never seen a series maintain its high quality over six seasons. Although not as intense as season 5 - my personal favorite DESPITE BEING CUT - season 6 rocks. With Whitaker down Chiklis must face his worst enemy who is within the team. Season 6 starts out slowly, but strikes hard. A MUST BUY! I don't know whether the UK version is cut or not, but I bought it and watched it, and didn't care if it was cut. Everything you need to see is here.
Chiklis and ALL the other cast deliver striking performances, the writers are just fantastic and unlike other series you don't get unnecessary episodes just to fill ... Read More:

For those misguided people who have rated this film with either 1 or 2 stars!! Why? Do yourself a favour and just listen to the dialogue. Congrats Martin McDonagh this is a truly great script.
The irony of this film, the black comedy, the classic panoramas (best since Lost in translation or Barry lyndon), the references of Hieronymus Bosch's art et all with "purgitory" Bruges has made this possibly the best film I've seen in 2008.
With this admirable story the performances of Fiennes as the psychopath, Gleeson the mature regretful pro, Farrell the misguided pretentious rouge within a cast of uglier and lovable characters makes this a film you really need to envelope and enjoy.

Season 1 got me hooked, Season 2 made me fall in love and Season 3 just made me giddy. If someone told me this show couldn't get better, I would be inclined to agree. At the end of Season 2, House was shot and he asked to be given Ketamine which would help fix his leg. Season 3 starts off with, what seems to be a completely new House, he's happy and he's walking without an aid and doing his job without Vicodin. This is cool, it shows us just how much the leg problems have affected House and his personality. It doesn't last, as within a few episodes he's back to using the Cane and popping pills every hour.
During mid season House also gains himself a Vogler-esque type enemy, only this time it's a cop, and it lands House in some serious trouble. ... Read More:

I am absolutely addicted to this version of Jane Eyre, having watched it another 4 times this last week alone! And I'm not ashamed to admit it either! It's perfect in every way and there's nothing left out of importance. O.K. it could have done with showing more of the young Jane at Lowood Institution, but it wasn't a necessity.
This tells the story of Jane Eyre, a poor, downtrodden girl who after becoming an orphan as a baby, is sent to live with her Aunt and Uncle and their children. The Uncle passes away and Jane is left to the cruelty of her Aunt and cousins. After 10 years of bad treatment, her Aunt sends her to Lowood School and turns her back on Jane. Jane stays at Lowood for eight years when she finally manages to escape by advertising for a ... Read More:

For anyone who hasn't inhabited Earth and missed this one then it comes highly recommended as one of the best fantasy Romantic Comedy drama's with a fantastic soundtrack ranging from Roy Orbison's "Pretty Woman" from the title and Roxette's classic "It must have been Love"...Richard Gere plays an ultra wealthy business property tycoon Edward Lewis obsessed with the kill but lonely enough to employ the services of an apprentice hooker in Vivian Ward played by Julia Roberts only to find that love can be sought in the strangest places....Welcome to Hollywood and what's your dream...well Vivian wanted all or nothing whilst Edward just wanted a short hire and fire with no strings......what followed was one of the most chemistry based modern romantic comedy drama's of today..it's ... I have yet to see a perfect film or television adaptation of Northanger Abbey, but this one probably comes as close as any. It has its flaws, particularly in some of the screenplay. This has its weaknesses particularly in the dialogue, although I suppose this is inevitable when one tries to condense a novel into 93 minutes. The wonderful scene at the dance with that delightful conversation between Henry and Catherine where Henry says "Then we are on very unequal terms , for I understand you perfectly well", to which Catherine replies with one of the best lines in the novel: "Me? Yes, I cannot speak well enough to be unintelligible", is left out of this adaptation in its entirety. Indeed, much of the dialogue which defines Catherine's character is left out, or altered inappropriately. ... Read More:

I'd been wanting to see this film for ages but never got around to it, i bought it about a week and a half ago, looking at the reverse i was schoked at the fact that it was 3 hours long! I have a really short attention span, and it was also in black and white, which i thought would put me off. Usually i watch films and work through them or talk to friends nose around on teh computer etc but after watching about half an hour of this film i couldn't tear myself away, i completely neglected my laptop for the next two and a half hours! it didn't get boring at all and i didn't even notice it wasn't in black and white. All though we all know of the tragic events of the holocaust watching it unfold in front of you through spielberg's magic doesn't fail to shock and affect. The stellar acting from ... Read More:

This film was really the most unbearable nonsense, the Irish busker/hoover repair man was perhaps the most annoying person ever. The music was awful, he must have been listening to an awful lot of Damien Rice.
