We are a fairly hard to please viewing group, but all of us were gripped by this film. Due to it's element of true story, it wasn't at all predictable. The music was subtle, the scenery sublime. Characterisations were much above the usual horror stereotypes. Some of our group had to put hands over eyes or look away. Very shocking in parts. Not one to watch with children! Or alone!

George A. Romero is one of those filmmakers who shouldn't need an introduction. If you're a horror fan at all, you should be intimately familiar with his Dead series by now, and if you're a movie fan at all, you should at least know Night Of The Living Dead and Dawn Of The Dead, the first and still the strongest entries in the genre. It's no hyperbole to say that Romero essentially invented the zombie movie, gave it the structures and tones that have relentlessly followed the genre through 40 years of movie history.

Many of us followed buffy anne summers battle vampires, zombies, warewolves and other blood sucking creatures for the past 7 years but now its finaly over (well in 2003 of course). contains all 22 episodes but this is the finale ever season of the show. the most important is the finale episode (chosen) the show ends with a bang, 2 main characters get killed of (anya and spike). buffy is not the slayer anymore in the end so she can relax while another girl takes over as the slayer. angel returns for a brief moment. so i sugest you if your new watch all 6 seasons of buffy and then watch this finale season 7 of the show. get your hankies out at the ready.

Buffy will be missed.

Ok, like me you're probably not one to buy many musicals but you digg Burton and Depp. What to do?
Well, here's my take... in simple terms;
It looks great.
The songs vary from dull to quite amusing. Not that catchy or classic but the odd one is amusing.
The story line is OK, fairly basic.
The actors perform well and the leads are charismatic.
Conclusion? Meh... you know, it's OK. That about sums it up. There are better and worse places to spend your money! Sorry to be tepid about the whole affair but that's how I feel. If you must, buy it but you won't be missing much if you don't!
Not a stunning blu-ray either.
