Definitely one of the most exciting sci-fi movies ever made!
This is one of those movies that can be watched over and over again and still be enthralling - no re-make could ever match this original, starring Kevin McCarthy and Dana Wynter.
Huge seed pods arrive from outer space that 'hatch' and take on the form of 'imageless' human bodies. As soon as the nearest person falls asleep, 'it' becomes that person - exactly the same in every way, but without emotion. A Doctor and his girl put up a tremendous fight against this phenomenon, and this film is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end!

This film is excellent. It stars Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, Boris Karloff and the lovely Hazel Court. The story is slightly silly, but very entertaining. The transfer is nice and crisp with excellent colour. This is one of my best buys this year, highly recommended.

I had seen this before on tv, and many films come and go, but this held me with the intrigue, watching the story unfold, working out if Claire (Michelle)had just lost the plot, and although husband Norman (Harrison)plays the dedicated husband, you just know there is something 'not quite right'....this is the sort of film that you can watch over and over and each time, you will spot something that you didn't the last time that you watched it..........

Ghost Ship is a great film. The film starts with a cruise aboard the Antonia Graza in 1962, when all the passengers and the crew are slaughtered in numerous ways including a very gorey scene where a wire cuts passengers in half on the ships dance floor. The film then cuts to the present day where a salvage team see the Antonia Graza floating in the sea and board to salavage any valuables left on the ship. Then the ghosts make their presence known and begin to kill the team in gruesome ways. Although the story is stupid, there are worse films out there than Ghost Ship.

I didn't even know there were two sequels to this, that probably means they're awful. I liked From Dusk 'til Dawn very much, but didn't take it to seriously. In fact it's the only Tarantino movie I like. I think he's too over-rated as a director and writer. He gives me the impression he'd stamp his feet and throw a tantrum if a Hollywood studio said "no" to one of his films. He needs to chill and grow up a little.
FDTD has all you'd expect in a Tarantino flick: guns, blood, a few gratuitous deaths, more blood, a bit of horror, and oh yes, a multitude of swear words. Tarantino, one-dimensional? Never! Oh I almost forgot women, more specifically scantily clad women. And for me, this movie has one highlight: the dance Salma ... Read More:

Well, I guess I can start off this review by saying that this is solid proof that Euro-Horror and it's director's are so far ahead of us Americans when it comes to the horror genre. While our studios are continuing to crank out remakes, and basically recycling stuff that have sat in the can for years - it are the European filmmakers who are out there whipping up new and imaginative ideas like they usually do.
From French Directing duo, Alexandre Bustillo, Julien Maury, comes INSIDE, a film that exploits a subject that surely has to be any mother's nightmare - having their child taken away from them. Now, I suppose that this would be hard for any mother, regardless the age of the child - but it has to be that much harder when the child is still in womb. In the ... Read More:

I loved the first Hellraiser when it first came out in 1987.
On repeated viewings it's flaws became all the more apparent, but because of it's cult appeal and personal nostalgia value it has remained a grotesque favourite of mine.
Now whereas I appreciate the fact that films 2 and 3 are indeed splendidly uncut, the first film doesn't seem any different from my video edition.
During the 'story so far' section at the beginning of Hellbound, and the international trailer as well, we get to see the uncut destruction of Frank. But it isn't like this in the first film. Mind you this is just a niggle in what is otherwise a good box set, and considering I managed to obtain it for a very small price from elsewhere (sorry Amazon) it is still worth owning.

on my first viewing i have found this film to be surprisingly effective and is by far one of the best Drac films that i have ever seen.
Christopher Lee gives a stunning performance...and the fact that he has absolutly no dialogue at all in this film adds to its enjoyment and makes it a very unsettling experience which is why i love it so much.
i found it to be better than the original Hammer film and the best one hammer ever did.
Christopher Lee is a fanGtastic actor, long may he reign in the film industry.

This film is a study of the struggle of knowledge Vs power. The Johhny Depp character searches for knowledge not power and is thus rewarded over the other protaginists. Is Hell/the Devil as evil as man has himself become in his quest for power? The expression 'Hell on Earth' was obviously a factor in the writing of this movie. Polanski, as always, makes you think and question the motives of everyone involved. Those expecting to watch a Roman Polanski movie for just action should hire another directors movie. Powerful performances from Depp and Langella make this a film to watch.

While Rise: Blood Hunter isn't a terrible film, it's a predictable one. This is meant to be a revisionist vampire film (no one actually uses the word vampire in the movie) but these are the same trendy vampires that have haunted the screen since Blade. Is it too much to ask someone to try and shake up the vampire film the way Kathryn Bigelow and Eric Red did with Near Dark? Or Larraz did with Vampyres (over 30 years ago)? Can't we just get a little Nosferatu around here? Instead what we have here is a journalist by the name of "Sadie" (Lucy Lui) who discovers that a young goth girl she briefly covered in a recent article has been found dead and a hidden message she left behind may lead to her killer's whereabouts. What she discovers is a secret underground group of vampires, who feed on unsuspecting ... Read More:
