Enough shocks, and laughs in equal measure to keep the interest going with this film. Good British cast, and (intentionally) cheesy script and a touch of irony make this an entertaning movie. Not one of the best horror films, but slightly better than average in my opinion.

The Final Destination trilogy are fantastic films that make you think that today may be your last day before death pays you a visit. The films are gorey, clever, have good acting from all involved and even though you have a rough idea of who will live, the film throws you off guard with several suprises. 3 great films that are fantastic value for money.

Elfen Lied - The Complete Collection

I bought this anime without really knowing what the series was all about, but it was certainly worth taking the chance!

Beautifully animated and beautifully scored, Elfen Lied was gripping from start to finish. To be honest, I wasn't overly impressed when I saw the first episode, as gore and nudity was rife. Fortunately however, although there is a lot of nudity, it never borders on the pornographic.

Some of the scenes are pretty sickening though, and although it was an insight into what humans can do to each other for their own personal profit, it isn't a series I'd like to watch with anyone else.

This is quite a gross movie, but it's so entertaining it works.

There's a lot of funny violence but it takes a strong stomach to enjoy it.

If you have seen the original version before watching this before getting this dvd then you with be surpised with the things they cut for this version. They completely ruin the flow of the film and leave certain questions unanswered because of the cut. This version is cut about 5 minutes from the original and the pace and story of the film is ruined. The most necessary scenes are cut. The film is a masterpiece however and if you can get past the stupid editing then you should learn to love this film but I highly recommend you find a version with a longer running time than this version. If it wasn't for the cuts this film would have easily got 5 stars in my opinion

Whilst some of the films in this boxset are not amongst Hammers best it is an extremely good collection.
I already owned almost half of the titles on region 1 but these discs are much better quality. The picture is clearer, the colour more vibrant and the sound's crisper.
If you're a Hammer fan you simply must own this set. I was lucky enough to get in in a sale for £35 which is incredibly good value.
If you've been considering buying this set, stop dithering and get on with it. You won't regret it.

This box set is an excellent buy for anyone who has seen and enjoyed the saw films, or like me, had seen the first three, but not the fourth and didn't own any of them.

They are all very well written and produced, each sharing its own twisting plot involving the charactors; which often refers to the previous installments in the sequels. This makes it essential really that you need to see them from the beginning to get the full gist of what's going on and truly get the most out of the storyline.

There's not much to say about the plot without giving too much away. The main character has a terminal illness and decides to spend the rest of his days testing the will of other humans; needless to say this involves a series of disturbing obstacles that his subjects ... Read More:

There is no escaping the fact this movie has one of the most haunting use of camera movement ,light compositions and sound editing creating echoes to explosions in harmony with the horror which is chillingly psychological rather then bloody .

No dead cats or decapatitaed skulls or limbs can alternate for the haunted look on the agonized faces of the characters as they struggle to save themselves and their sanity ,the fact it is broodingly driving them to psychosis is presented as a brilliant chess game where the 4 protagonists love and loathe each other .
