Even if you are you are not a fan of this sci-fi fantasy genre, the special features of this dvd are an oeuvre of its own kind and worth a try. Disc five is a bit redundant because every film has its dedicated bonus dvd.

It's a good, fun action movie with 2007's best special effect gimmick. Christiansen makes some amends for Star Wars here, but it's Jamie Bell who steals the show.

So where do i begin?
First things first; the movie itself is something remarkable and shows one of will smith's greatest and probably best performance he's done. From my opinion, if it weren't for him the movie would of probably been a bit rubbish.
When i first saw the film; i must admit, i didn't think much of it but when i watched it again, i was completely blown away. The way they captured the loneliness and sadness of Robert Neville's life is just incredible. When buying the film, just don't expect much of a blockbuster because this is not. Look at the film as how it was supposed to be... ...a one man show.

A Very good film but like other reviewers have said the advertising campaign, even the cover art are and were very misleading making you think that this would be a fantasy film full of strange creatures, magic and fairy dust.
It is not that at all but rather an emotional tale depicting the friendship and bond between 2 children and the imaginary world in which they create, along with dangerous imaginary creatures and some good sfx when they are used.
However the real danger is not something imaginary or mythical and the circumstances shown are very sad- although a bit abrupt and mis-jointed.
May be a bit upsetting for younger viewers, and it probably won't hold their attention for very long as there are no fairy tale creatures, my 5yr old loves ... Read More:

i simply loved deep space nine, though i don't care for the episodes where they overuse the holodeck or suddenly time travel the main story arc and the characters such as kira, odo, quark are some of the best written sci-fi i've seen, as entertaining as babylon 5 or the new battlestar galactica show

if you like any of those you'll love deep space nine...you don't have to be a trekkie to like it at all [i'm no fan fan star trek te next generation for exampe]


an all deep space nine is THE BEST star trek based show to date in my opinion.

You should know that this release is a straight copy of the American region 1 disc.

The sound mix is Dolby 2.0 only, it is the American cut of the film (shorter than the German original) and there are very little in the way of extras. There is a German version that has both cuts of the film available (although it is now out of print so getting hold of one might prove difficult) unfortunately it has no English audio for the original cut and the sound mix is 2.0 only. There is also a Holland release of the American version but with a DTS soundtrack.

Considering next year will be the 25th anniversay of the film I find it incredible that Warner decided to release this travesty of a DVD now.

Stargate SG-1 - Series 9 - Complete

With the majority of the Goa'uld defeated during the previous season this ninth season sees the rise of a new threat to the galaxy in the form of the godlike Ori. This season also sees changes to the main cast with Richard Dean Anderson leaving the main cast and new faces in the shape of Ben Bowder, Claudia Black (both from the excellent Farscape) and Lexa Doig (from Andromeda) joining the show on a regular or semi-regular basis. This change in cast could have been quite terrible but thankfully Ben Bowder more than fills Anderson's shoes as Lt. Col. Mitchell, the new leader of SG-1, and all the other new additions to the cast also fit in very well.

As mentioned above, the show rocks. Edward James Olmos again excelled as Adama. And so did Michelle Forbes as Admiral Cain. But even though the show is delivered via DVD, I could'nt help thinking it looks and feel as if I'm watching VCD. So my rating is based on the show(content) alone and not on the video quality(DVD).

Season 5 starts with Apocalypse (Great) and ends in Call of arms (great) If you are a DS9 fan or not then this is for you buy it sit down watch enjoy and get yourself ready for season 6 i promise you won't regreat it.

Brilliant series all round, the best Star Trek series of them all.

For anyone interested in replacing seasons 1-4 (of the old larger case sets) which had a problem with the design of the cases causing centre hole becoming damaged, I want to assure you, absolutely, that these slimcase sets are absolutely identical in disc structure and menu design. The only difference is the image on the disks which is no real problem.

For anyone wanting to buy DS( as a complete series - simply get them in this format. The price is amazing when compared to the large cased first releases, I wish I had known they were going to make these as I could have saved a fortune.
