Contrary to other reviewers, we actually avoided the series on TV as we didn't much care for the main players in relation to past performances (or perhaps to be more specific, we didn't like what they were in). The only exception perhaps was Dennis Waterman who has pretty much played the same sort of role from comedy to drama. However, we picked up series 3 on UK Gold, when we were struggling to find something decent to watch one evening. We were pleasantly surprised at how good it was, and it has the right proportions of humour and drama to make you believe in the stories and in the characters. It is not a comedy, as one person suggested, but a series where, despite the somewhat macabre subject matter, we see the human side of the people investigating ... Read More:

I've just finished watching all five series over the course of about a month. The tragedy of the 'Yes Prime Minister' episodes was that while Eddington and Hawthorne's acting just got better and better, the writing plateau-ed, and conceivably declined.
Whole speeches get repeated -- e.g. "The Morning Star is for people who believe another country should run this country ..." -- but of course, these were written pre-video, so the writers' assumption must have been that, over an interval of nine years, people simply wouldn't notice the repetition. Tedious re-working of "need-to-know" convolutions crop up repeatedly, right to the final episode. But the jewel of the series -- the relationship between 'Humpy' and Hacker -- just sparkles brighter. ... Read More:

Not seen many documentries covering such a good detail fo history.
But over all a interseting documentry. Full of information, The Buddha episode is covered very beautifully.
But it oftens contradicts its own words,
1) In first 15 min, the acient clan of Brahmins are reciting the hymns in Sanskrit in South India and then the Brahmins from Aryan race are reciting the Sanskrit hymns in Varansi and also impashis of Aryan Invasion theory.
2) Aryans came from central Asia around 1700 BC and they fought battles in Northern planes of India, The example given was Mahabharta, then after a minute the Mahabharata age was backdated to 3200 BC.
3) Indus valley civilization are not knowing usage of horces,

This is yet another DVD that I bought to fill out my collection (mostly because I already own all the other CSI boxsets) and yet again I wasn't disappointed. This set includes some of the best episodes so far in the CSI history, although sometimes it does focus slightly too much on the minor characters. Having said that, it has made me appreciate Hodges and his sarcasm that little bit more...

Everyone tells of how season 2 fails to compare to season 1 and 3, and I have to agree it was not as good! So why do I still give it 5 stars then? Well..... seasons 1 & 3 were easily at least 7 stars!!
An extremely watchable show, and I may have to buy the boxsets again as my constant watching of the DVDs has made the box very sruffy and bent!

By far one of the best Spooks series since first aired on BBC 6 years ago (series 2 is still my favourite series so far). What i love about this series is that as an audience you have to watch each episode in order and the stories just keep on getting better and better.
I thougght that after Tom, Zoe and Danny had gone spooks would lose its appeal but now with Adam, Jo and Connie on the team spooks just keeps on going from strength to strength. I wonder how many more twists and turns there will be in series 7? I look foward to seeing what happens next in one of the most entertaining spy programmes currently shown on british tv.

Usually, TV to film doesn't work. Whilst this is by no means the best of Simpsons, it translates well on the big screen.
The overall plot is probably the biggest let down, but it's all the little jokes that make this movie.
Most of our favourite characters are there when Springfield is cut off from the rest of the world due to Homer's incompetance.
Certainly worth a watch for Simpsons fans and general movie watchers.
Good fun from beginning to end.

Just for the record this item is in ENGLISH. Nothing to do with PORTUGUESE as described in the Product Details !! (Portuguese subtitles as one of a number of options on the accompanying movie)
Plaudits to gZoop for bothering to investigate and confirm to me that it was in English. So much for Amazon Customer Services who insisted that it was in Portuguese - without bothering to make any effort to find out.
