Another Great Season for The Simpsons. Have been looking forward to this coming out for some time. Can;t believe its taken so long.
I would have given this a higher rating if it wasnt for the packaging. Unlike the other Limited Edition Simpsons boxset (i.e. Homer Head boxset etc) this comes slightly smaller where the discs are stuffed into cardboard sleeves which can be quite hard to get out, and also have to touch the readable side of the disc with your fingers leaving grubby marks.
Also the packaging is very confusing and you are lucky to find the right disc you are looking for, first time.
As long as you aren't fussy about the packaging then this is a must buy!

This third series of " bones " has a rolling theme throughout the series,as well as the stand alone episodes,a gruesome serial killer !!The slow creation of a skeleton from various parts of his victims keeps the team on their toes and often at a loss, but the climax of this is off the wall and disturbing. There is light relief as well ,the " moonlighting " style will they won't they between the two leading characters much to the bemusement of the psychologist who's supposed to be giving them therapy, the saga of the colourful divorce, with the continuing good story telling thrown in as well. I've already pre-ordered my copy.

My brother just bought this for me (I put him up rent free for months when he came back from traveling). One of the best things he has ever got me. There are five DVDs and I've already watched three, I've only had it a week.
When you watch it your just in awe of the scenery, it's beautiful. There is a purposefully made score for it that just adds to the enjoyment. As for people that say they can't hear David Attenborough because of the music, they must be deaf the music always quietens down when he talks. I love the Planet Earth Diaries parts, it's very enjoyable to watch.
I may be wrong but I think this was the first or first major nature progamme to be filmed fully in HD and it's all the better for it.

My 4-year-old now has an imaginary Ivor that goes everywhere with her (even to school). She's started calling me 'Jones' and Idris is always getting into trouble around the house!
This has caught my daughter's imagination like none of the modern children's programmes and it's lovely to share a part of my own childhood with my daughter.

If you like a cocktail of expensive clothes and cars and fancy houses and endless partying and strife and human suffering mixed with humour, you'll enjoy Gossip Girl. Are rich teenage kids this bad? What makes this negative look on human relations palatable is the sumptuous beauty of everything you see - from the fine buildings of manhattan to the gorgeous outfits worn by Blair and the other girls. This is a tv series with a problem - remove Blair's character and the whole thing would be drab. She's the classiest, nastiest pretty girl since Joan Collins in Dynasty twenty years ago, and the centre of gravity of this whole damnable edifice. The first four episodes are pretty lame but stick with it, the episodes that follow are much better.I've heard some people ... Prison Break series 1 was one of the most original television series I have seen. Season 2 tended to stretch the imagination a little bit, and so I didn't expect much from series 3. Due to the writer's strike this season is much shorter, but I think this really works in PB's favour. Because we are treated to 22 normal episodes squeezed into just 13 episodes, the action is fast and the plot is constantly evolving at high speed. It makes for very exciting viewing.
For me, William Fichtner (Mahone) and Wade Williams (Bellick) steal the series and both play superb roles, each having their own personal struggles.
Sadly I feel this series falls short because it leaves you asking huge questions from a very early point. For example, my nagging thought ... Read More:

Whilst the Writers' Strike left this season feeling a little empty, the quality of the show continues to shine through. The conclusion to the Sara Saga is excellently pulled off and will certainly bring a tear to the eye of the most faithful CSI fan. Some of the episodes are a bit poor - such as the story of the young lad who develops breasts - but these are balanced out by the other episodes.
Shame there's not as many episodes as there normally are but worth the purchase all the same.

Why do I pay my licence fee to the BBC so that they can make this utter dross and drivel?? Can someone actually tell me why this is apparently funny? What is there to get??
They try to be surreal, but it's all been done before (Vic and Bob anyone?? The Goodies, Monty Python etc etc) and far better.
Noel Fielding is just about to disappear up his own backside, yep, there he goes, I spotted his hand waving as he went. As for the other bloke, I don't even know why he's in it. Does he??!
Nope, this is about as funny as having an ingrowing toenail taken off with no anasthaetic. Mind you, watching this mind-numbingly boring tosh might just negate the need for it!!
Rubbish indeed from a Russell Brand-alike. Oh, and he ... Read More:

Fawlty Towers is definitely among the top 5 comedies ever made. This DVD has both series and an extras disc. I have to say, although better than nothing at all (which is what the BBC seems to like to give some of it's classics, i.e. Only Fools and Horses) the extras aren't that brilliant. There's a couple of out takes, which are funny, and brief profiles of the actors. The interviews with the stars are long and, although it was interesting to find out what inspired the series and the characters, I ended up turning them off before the end because I was starting to get a bit bored of them.
The series itself is classic, there's no two ways about it, and most certainly deserves 5 stars on its own. Scenes like "Don't mention the war" and "Waldorf Salad", ... Read More:

I just want to tell everyone that the code slip provided within the DVD case is of particularly tasteless scam to collect marketing info (your contact, gender, age etc. details). What you find in the web site after relinquishing the info is shoddy 3-level flash game for kids and material that could be descibed best as marketing material... which is pointless since you already bought the product. (And for reasons unclear to me, you are apparently only allowed 4 logins to this sub-par pile of flash adverts. What on earth is that all about?)
If you do want to see that yourself, I recommend giving bogus information. They scam you, the least you can do is scam them back ;)
The above has no bearing on my opinion of the movie itself. It was a good story ... Read More:
