Belkin Firewire Cable 6pin-4pin (1.8m)

Cable turned up very promptly, and the item is in 'new condition' as described. Packaging is average, item isn't supplied boxed it comes in a clear plastic sealed bag. Item is NOT branded Belkin... It's branded 'Value' and made in china also, and more importantly, it doesn't look like the cable in the picture! It's a flat matt grey colour with grey coloured connectors, not semi-clear connectors as the picture shows. The cable is also a matt grey colour not with metallic braiding showing through a clear cable sheath, as the picture shows. However, the cable is remarkably cheap and provided it works (I haven't tested it yet) then i'll be reasonably pleased. Overall a fair product for the money.

i purchased this cable thinking i would receive the Belkin brand as advertised, but guess what? i was sent a unbranded value cable.

Cable turned up quite promptly, the item seems in 'new condition' as described. Packaging is average, item isn't supplied "boxed" as described, it came in half clear box, inside a jiffy bag. Item is NOT branded Belkin...I wish Amazon rectified this with the seller (there are several sellers on the amazon site advertising brand names for their products when they ARE NOT). If it is NOT a Belkin it should NOT be sold as a Belkin (this is just NOT right). It's branded 'Azona' and more importantly, it doesn't look like the cable in the picture! However, the cable is cheap and provided it works (I haven't tested it yet) then I'll be okay with the cable, but I WON'T be okay with the way the product was advertised (why not say Belkin type cable, NOT ... I recently purchased a new computer which had a Firewire port at the front and so I automatically assumed it would have the hardware required. I was wrong and was in need of a fireware card to capture video from my Mini-DV JVC camcorder.

After checking various sites and finally deciding on this card, I was not disappointed!!

I physically installed the card into my pc, put the case back together and switched the pc on. Straight away, the card was recognised and drivers from windows were automatically installed. It was ready to use in under a minute!! Very impressed!

I am running XP and my camcorder is a JVC GR-D340EK Mini-DV for those that have similar specs.
