Terrible router. I paid seventy quid for mine and i swear i cant stay connecteted to the internet for more than ten minutes.

If you use firefox, get used to seeing "problem loading page".

Did anybody actually test this piece of crap before they decided to ship them across the world. I wouldn't mind but its not like it has to do anything else.....just connect and stay connected to the internet.

The last Netgear item i ever buy.

Initial setup seemed relatively straight forward as others have described.
I tried the Sweex adaptor with and without a USB extension. Either way it was inconsistent in identifying the wireless hub. All appeared well though until I tried to connect and this simply resulted in nothing happening. I can't see any advice in the manual to overcome this. Looks like for me it will have to back and I'll try another make.

This adapter was great at first, but now, a couple of months in, it keeps overheating and then my internet connection goes off until I cool it down. Madness! This fault is all over the net - just google 'WG11T overheating' and see what I mean. I've had Netgear stuff before and its been fine, but I'll be wary in future.

I have had this for over a year now (version 4) and it has been superb, constantly picking up a perfect signal no matter what computer I connect it to.

I only installed the device driver and ignored Belkin's own wireless software. Can't fault it.

I must warn people not to buy this router if you have power problems. The first router I had arrived and the setting up was so simple and quick. It was the hub of my home network allowing me to share my computers and devices without complications. The performance was good in being a modem/router and wireless but there is achillies heal. It dont like power cuts and as I live in a rural place we seem to get a quite a few through out the year.

The first time I experience it just didnt know what to do as it doesnt reset just acts dead. I unplug it and had to use an old modem as I need an internet connection at all times. I brought this after some consideration to get my Wii connected to the internet, i was worried about if it would work straight out of the box.

Shouldn't have worried as i plugged one into my router via the supplied LAN cable and plugged it into the wall switched on. I then went to the living room, plugged the LAN cable into the Wii USB LAN adaptor and the other end into the Netgear which went straight into the wall and switched on. After three or four minutes they had found each other, the Wii connected to the internet and that was it.

No updating, no playing with settings - worked straight out of the box (didn't even read the instructions)

I have broadband in my lounge and plugged the router's network/LAN cable into one Devolo plug and had the other plug in a bedroom connected to my PC. The network connection just works. I didn't need the CD, just the plugs and cables which come with it. 85Mb is great but if you are running broadband over it, you don't need the speed. These homeplugs are just great, cheap and need no setting up.

I got this router as a replacement for its lower model Netgear 834 54mps because of a fault that occured. This fault was that whenever i unplugged the ADSL cable from the phone socket to change between phones the internet light would flash amber and not turn green i tried resetting the router many times but it would not work I changed the cable i still would not work. I then took it back to the shop and they gave me a replacement i took the replacement of this higher model and paid the difference for the 834 pn it worked fine for 3 months then The mains tripped and was cut off. I could not get it to work in just the same way so I took it back again and got a Belkin router they not as highly rated as netgear but at least dont have this problem. It was that simple.
No drivers needed, no config needed.
