Following up on an earlier review of mine (which seems to have disappeared) the card slotted into an old Asus P4 motherboard and was recognised immediately by XP. No additional drivers required. Worked fine for me with a Sony Mini DV camera (Firewire port) and various USB devices plugged into the USB ports (cameras, mice, etc.)
One point worth bearing in mind (and the reason I'm only giving it 4 stars) is that the internal USB socket, the 5 pin header next to it, and the topmost USB socket on the back plate are all connected to just one USB port.
