Loved its neat shape, easy to set up and great range of options BUT the one REALLY annoying thing is that the display dims when the light goes off, so, with admittedly less than perfect vision I cannot read the time in the dark. The Whole Purpose of having an illuminated display!!!!

I bought one of these pretty much immediately when it came out from a major high street retailer, and had the high pitched whine problem that occurred when the screen was dimmed by a variable amount. I got it replaced at the store no problem, and since then I've enjoyed it. It is quite lightweight, but some blu tack sorted that button pushing problem out.
We listen almost exclusively to speech stations (R4, R5, BBC7) and low volume ipod and as such we've found the sound fine, and the unit looks very smart. The remote control has been very useful for my wife who was feeding the baby some meters away! That worked well.
It is quite pricey, but does what it is supposed to do pretty well, and as such we were on balance quite ... Read More:

I ordered this for my wife to use in the kitchen. It arrived when I was at work, but when I got home my wife had set it up, tuned all the stations and colud use all the functions. this may not sound much but my wife has trouble stting up a hair dryer!
The sound for such a small device is very clear.
Prior to buying this I had read the reviews and purchased the item with a touch of scepticism. I paid the princely sum of 0.01p and I can tell you it is the best penny I have spent. The item arrived a couple of days after ordering. It was very easy to set up (it took me all of two minutes)and it works perfectly well from my car radio. Other reviews have mentioned poor sound quality. All I can say is that for the price I paid for this gadget the sound quality is excellent. If they want better sound, then spend a considerable amount more and get a BOSE system.
They say that you get what you pay for, but this is an example of sometimes you get much better than you pay for. If you are looking for a simple device to transmit your ipod/mp3 music to your ... Read More:
Our two year old can't tell the time and come summer time, was getting up around 5am, despite the blackout curtains. We decided to try this clock and it had the desired effect. We gradually got her up to 6:30 which was fantastic.
However, the device is mechanical and so if you set the alarm for 6:30 and your child is still asleep (rare I might add), then the loud "clunk" as the rabbit wakes up will almost certaing wake up the child.
Also, the alarm setting works on the 12 hour clock, so if you want to set the clock for 7:00, you won't be able to set if until about 19:15 as it's a bit sensitive.
Overall, a good idea, but would have been much better if the waking rabbit was not mechanical, and you could set the clock ... Read More:

After spending time researching which product to buy, I opted for this. I have to say that the output quality is great value at this price. The combination of functionality as a clear alarm clock with combined radio is not unique, but when combined with the sound quality makes much more expensive offerings seem ordinary in comparison.

This is a small DAB radio that seems to have all the functionality of larger models. It runs both from the mains via a transformer and on batteries. It has a small but clear display that can show the time, stations, and DAB programme related information simultaneously. Build quality is good and the radio is inexpensive.
On the downside, there are only three presets, the radio on FM does not have any RDS functionality, and it's uses batteries quickly whether on DAB or FM. More of concern for me is that the volume cannot be set particularly high - I wanted a DAB when gardening and washing the car. It doesn't quite have the volume for this. Second, it is not good in poor reception areas. I'm based in a relatively poor DAB area. My built-in car DAB radio ... Read More:

I was looking for an alarm clock and an ipod speaker stand - saw this and thought I'd combine the two!
The unit works straight out the box and set up is a doddle, the speaker is on a scale of 1 (soft) - 40 (mental) and the system is a nice piano black with a nice and bright face (4 settings) that can be turned off or light up the room bright.
It has 2 alarms so you can set one for you and one for someone else, and you can wake to the radio/buzzer/ipod. If you want to wake up to the ipod you must leave it plugged in - in play mode. It will also charge your ipod whilst it is docked.
It has various adaptors that will fit virtually any ipod (even my 3rd generation nano which it says its doesn't!) and a aerial for the radio.

You know when you stand outside the room the music's coming from and you wonder what might be playing it? The first time I did that, it was my parents' 1960s HMV stereo radiogram - five feet wide with big elliptical speakers at either end and a valve receiver in the middle. The cabinet was made out of wood, there was plenty of metal and not a sign of plastic - a bakelite knob here and there - but that was about it.
The sound was euphonic rather than pure hi-fi. But the Top 40 on a Sunday night sounded good. The bass rumbled away, voices soared out of the cabinetry and Tommy Vance seemed as if he was, if not exactly in the room, at least very close by. It was the best that Patsy Gallant ever sounded.
And that's what the Creative Soundworks ... Read More:

This clock has aspirations of being a quality device, and it certainly has alot good things going for it. But for me the low pitch background noise makes it totally unacceptable, at low volumes its very off putting. Also like with the Pure Chronos II, the screen illuminates the room even at low levels, and the volume control is not fine enough, I had the problem of not being able to get it to the right volumes to fall asleep too.
