I bought the riser for a 17 in laptop, and it works well. The rubber base is very stable and the higher settings match the top of the screen with my eyeline ( I'm 6ft 3in ). The angle allows easier access to the laptop's keyboard as well, and you can clip the mouse/keyboard cables through the back of the stand. Works better for me than a previous iCurve.
I have just taken delivery of my HDD docking station and have used it to format two new disks and am copying onto one now.
Everything seems to work fine. This is just what I've been looking for to back up video, It saves me having lots of cased HDDs on my desk, taking up space and plugs.
Two small problems: the unit doesn't match the picture, it is square in the photo and the delivered item has a semi-circular back coming to a triangular rounded point in front; also, it isn't hotswapable (at least for me), no real problem as it is a simple matter to reach behind and switch off before putting in a new disk.
One thing that isn't really a problem, the instructions seem to be translated from the original Chinese ... Read More:

Really pleased with these. It's not like being at Gatecrasher on a big trance night, but they do their job as travel speakers or as a second "hi-fi". Tweaking your iPod's EQ menu helps them sound better - I like the Dance (bassy) and Electronic (trebly but little bass) and Rock settings. I leave the iStation 'surround sound' ON. (Surround sound only if you're the size of a flea, though.)
Cost me £50 four years ago (still going strong) and much cheaper if you play around with a few mouse clicks now !
Re some web reviews stating that continually operating the iPod buttons weakens the docking connection - I don't know if it works with the smaller ones, but on the full-size iPod or the new Touch version (I've tried both), you are supposed ... Read More:

The r dock is incredible. It turns the ipod sound into proper hi fi quality. I am truly amazed by this. There is also a unique function where the unit can stop charging the ipod when you are using the dock, thus eliminating electrical interference and further enhancing the sound quality. The build quality is great. This is a genius device by the high end British company Arcam. The unit retails at £130 usually but even at that price it is a bit of a steal if you value true hi fi quality sound from your ipod. Great product.
Having trawled the Dell site for a docking station and discovered that there was none, I found this universal one. It is great. The laptop sits well and all the cables are tidy and its really easy to slip the laptop into the docking station and out again. There are sufficient USB ports in the hub (which you must ensure comes with the station).
