I have been using this equpment for just over a month now. I am totally satisfied with its performance and have now placed my company records and data bases on it. I now intending purchasing a second unit to provide both an additional backup and greater storage.
The Memeo software was slow. I have always used Acronis True Image and this software has functioned correctly with the unit. An additional USB drive attached to the Linkstation has been used to back up our data base without fault.
Nil problems have arisen when using the Linkstation as a print server.
Remote access of this equipment has proven to be reliable although the Buffalo server could be quicker.

I purchased this print server 4 weeks ago, and the installation disc won't work with setting my printer up, an Epson Sylus Photo R300.
The printer is on their compatible list.
Since then I've spent the last 4 weeks going backwards and forward to their online, and voice technical support, which I'm quite frankly appalled with.It takes at least 24 hours for someone to get back to you, and each time it's someone different, that I've gone round and round in circles since.
I'm pretty close to just selling this on Ebay, bacause it's no use to me whatsoever - I suppose I could use it as an expensive coaster!.

I bought this particular model so that I could not just print wirelessly but also monitor the toner levels on my Samsung CLP-315 colour laser printer. I installed the software on my PC with Windows XP and laptop running Windows 2000. The printer wasn't listed as a compatible but I took a chance and it paid off.

I used the software CD provided and it all went quite smoothly after a restart of the router so that it assigned the IP addresses properly.

Overall I am very happy with this print server, and hopefully will save some money now my PC doesn't need to be on all the time. I have put the print server and printer on a plug-in timer so hope to cut down the standby power usage even further.

If you seek effortless set-up and a device that works according to the manual, look elsewhere! Having spent the best part of a day trying to get this thing working, I have put it back in the box and will only retrieve it when I have been very bad and wish to punish myself! I don't understand how a product this shoddy and non-functional has survived on the market. The software doesn't work and, unless one wishes to spend ones life printing out Windows test pages (it does those perfectly but little else!)it has no place near your printer. I had hoped to be able to share my ("compatible" so Netgear assured me) device with my son but it is going to be kinder on us both for me to buy a second printer after all... I have been in the IT business for 18 years. I could not believe how good this print server was. Extremely easy and quick to setup. Recongnised my HP printer full model number etc the instant I plugged it into this router. The wireless setup was a doddle, even WAP security, no inital IP address required on the ethernet port. Two other good things about this print server is you can connect upto 4 devices, plus it has a detachable foot so you can stand on it's side as well to save space, quite compact in any event. Good range of LEDs on the front etc. I give this print server 10 stars out of 5

I bought this as I thought it would enable me to share a printer Wirelessly amongst a number of computers. It does work but with significant usability restrictions:

1. You need the USB dongle plugged into the computer you initially installed the upgrade kit on

2. The computer with the dongle has to be switched on before other computers can share the printer wirelessly.

3. Take the dongle out or turn the installed computer off and you cant print wirelessly from another computer.

What I was looking for was a unit which I could leave attached to my printer and just wirelessly print. Having to go switch (or leave on) another computer before my laptop can print wirelessly is restrictive and takes away the flexibility I was ... Read More:

Canon BU-20 - Print server - USB - Bluetooth

I bought this to used with my pixma mp610. I wasn't sure if it would print word documents as Canon had told me it would only print jpegs, but it prints everything. It's really fast, just as fast as wires, unless you are printing photos, then it is painfully slow, but it gets there. I am using Vista and there are no compatibility issues. I use it with the belkin F8T012 bluetooth adapter for my laptop and the pc autodetects and installs the printer when you connect the bluetooth adapter.

This very small and compact unit works well. It was easy to physically set up. The software loaded perfectly and the (fairly) easy-to-follow installation program did the business nicely. I checked their website first to ensure that my multi-function printer/scanner would work and it was fine! I can now scan and print easily and effectively from three different computers and laptops in my household. Unlike some previous reviewers, I have not found any issues with slow response for printing or scanning. The bi-directional print communications between the printer and the computer does take a few seconds to engage, so the print job might well start before the PC can detect how much ink is left etc. This is not a problem!

This product appears to be a good product at a good price, when you finally get it working!!! The documentation is good at telling you how to change configuration settings, but very poor at telling you why and what the setting should be.

My Edimax is connected via a Netgear modem/router and these are the important bits of how I finally got it to work:
1. Run the Server Utility on the CD to install the server driver and utility software.
2. My Netgear router normally dynamically assigns IP addresses to the PCs that are connected to it between the range of 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.4.
