Nice little internet radio / media player.
Bought it for my wife who loves it. She is able to listen to all her music I put onto our UPNP media server.
We have it connected via a wireless router so one may take it anywhere round the house where there's a 13Amp socket and in range of the router.
Only locked-up/software crash once in the three months she's owned it. Don't think it liked my internet connection being interrupted whilst listening to an internet radio station.
Mono speaker a bit poor, but it does have RCA left and right stereo outputs to connect to ones Hi-Fi if you need better sound quality.

Like most Logitech devices, the Squeezebox Duet is attractive, sleek and very intuitive. It looks good anywhere and the convenience of listening to music out of any entertainment center from files stored on your computer are fantastic. The sound is as clear as you can expect as well.
However, there are some things you need to know about the Squeezebox Duet set-up before you buy. Your computer needs to have wi-fi or a router connected to it. If you use a direct DSL cable (Ethernet cable), you also need an Ethernet cable in the room where your entertainment center is (My computer is in my office and my entertainment center is in my living room). The only other option is to run a cable through your walls between you computer and entertainment ... Read More:
This internet radio is all about simplicity and choice.
I purchased this radio from amazon, it was delvered within 2 days,
out of the box, and the radio was connected and receiving an almost unlimited choice of stations within 5 minutes.
Getting the media streaming from my computers media files took maybe another 5 to 10 minutes longer, but again this was very simple to do, although you really need to be running windows media player 11
to make it a doddle.
Sound quality is very good, depending on bit rates be received.
I am very happy with this radio and would reccomend it to anybody.

I had made the mistake of incorporating internet radio functionality in the purchase of a Yamaha RX-V2700 home-cinema receiver. The software utilised in the Yamaha is v.Tuner. The user manual misrepresented v.Tuner's ability to stream WMA and WAV files in addition to its MP3 operability. Subsequently, favourite stations were delivered in poor bitrate levels, or were not available if not transmitted in MP3.
The purchase of the Squeezebox, however, rescued this dire situation. Favourite radio stations are delivered in the highest bit rate quality (and to my ears, at least, at near CD quality), and, more importantly, all the stations that I desire are available. Moreover, if you can source the broadcast stream address of the particular station, you simply input ... Read More:

I'll try to make this review balanced because I believe there are some pros and cons you should really weigh up before purchasing. I wanted to give the radio 2.5 stars!
Cons;
1. Reliability
I have now had 2 problematic Revo Picos; the 1st radio worked fine for 2 weeks then would not charge at all and then failed completely. Unbelievably, the 2nd radio I've received from Revo does not even power up after the recommended 12 hour charge (whether plugged into the mains or not). So, I think it's pretty clear that my major issue with this product is the reliability, or lack of. I'm going to give it a go with a 3rd radio, but if that doesn't work then I'll give up. Even if the 3rd radio does work I will always be wary that it might just fail randomly ... Read More:

Nice, though rather bulky, radio. Very easy to set up; had it running 5 minutes out of the box. BUT the volume output is pathetic. With a couple of computer speakers plugged in to the line out socket, it works much better - and in stereo. But this extra expense shouldn't have been necessary. Still good in all other respects, so 4 stars

I have owned my Quattro since December (Xmas present) and am delighted with it. Not only was it a cinch to set up with my home network, the other personalisation features make it a great music accessory.
Register on the Reciva website and set up 'My Stuff' - your own favourite radio streams which will be refreshed whenever the Quattro is powered on, and also a list of Podcast streams which will be available for you to select.
Not only can you play the BBC radio stations, but also you get access to the Listen Again content, which is simple to navigate and play / pause / forward / reverse.
Additionally you can stream content from a media server or PC. If you use the Media Player Universal Plug and Play you avoid some of the cache issues ... Read More:

In many ways this is an excellent radio. It plays media streams efficiently and the controls are (for the most part) easy to use and intuitive. I have gotten grate enjoyment out of listening to it, and I would highly recommend it. That is why Im giving it 4 stars.
However, there are a few issues that you should know about before you buy it.
1)Out of the box, the radio will only accept an open network, or the very unsecure and old WEP security setting. However, once you have upgraded to the latest version (which is done automatically) you can use the better WPE 2 standard. NOTE!! It will not accept WPE!! Only WPE2. Some of my wireless devices are now completely useless because they are not WPE2 compatible. So keep that in mind.
