This is a great MP3/Video player with fantastic storage capacity but I would like to point out the new 120GB is not actually black - its more of a dark charcoal grey! I know as I already have a Classic 80GB which really is black, which is no big deal in many ways, although your nice black docking station/speakers will not actually match.
Having said that, the screen is fantastic, really clear and bright and although there are many 'experts' out there who say the sound quality is so-so, 'and not as good as my old IPod', I think it is fine and compares favorably with my ZEN Jukebox. So far, so good. I've owned my I-pod 160GB for about a week, so it's still early days. My needs are simple. I want my whole music collection (which is some 20,000 songs I guess)on one portable device. So far, I've crammed about 2,000 tunes on to it and the capacity bar shows that there's still a long way to go before I fill the thing up. I'm immensely impressed with the amount of space that this i-pod has.

A few points - the volume is more than adequate! It's far louder than my Nano. I agree that the sound can be a little bright, although this can be counteracted with the EQ settings.
The Cover Flow is a neat touch, although only about 30% of my album covers have been recognised. Ho-hum - I didn't buy this because it looked pretty. As with my Nano, it's remarkably ... Read More:

I lost my previous 80 GB iPod not long ago, and I keenly felt its loss, so I bought this behemoth as a replacement so it would at least feel like an upgrade rather than a replacement. I guess the best indication of how much value you placed in something is how badly you miss it when it's gone. I bought my replacement the same day I realised it was missing.

The 160 GB model is noticeably chunkier than its smaller sibling, but not so much you'd actually bother. It retains the sleek, clean design and intuitive interface choices, although it shares a number of the same problems. While it usually works without fault, occasionally there are mysterious crashes and syncing problems that can frustrate.
