I followed all instructions to the letter and was lucky enough to have a rooftop aerial connection. When searching for channels it showed 'no signal' constantly and I thought I had a major problem but when finished it showed 66 channels found. I have been able to watch TV and record programmes etc. So far, I'm very satisfied with this item - not bad for a 71 year old lady!!!

First of all, the supplied antenna was no use at all, but no surprises there. I got no channels using that, when I used the adapter and plugged it into my main antenna however, I got 70 services. The picture quality wasn't quite a match for my TV, but it wasn't a million miles away.
Secondly, the supplied software isn't particuarly inspiring. It gets the job done but in a rough around the edges kind of way. If your a Vista user I strongly recommend using Windows Media Centre instead; you can't use the supplied remote but the picture quality and EPG are far superior.
Overall, a great bit of kit for the price, highly recommended.
I have incurable renal cancer and bought this little TV to keep me company as I am spending longer confined to bed. It is terrific - but the supplied aerials in the area I live in (south Hertfordshire) are all but useless. However, connection to the house aerial resulted in an excellent picture, and I delight in the ability to play DVDs, CDs and even movies saved on USB memory sticks as AVIs. The picture quality is first class for such a small unit - my wife, who rarely notices these things, even commented on it. If I were to make any complaint it would be that it doesn't allow a slide show with music - but then that is what digital photo frames are for, isn't it? And I have yet to find a way to speed up the display of pictures in a slide show....
This will not work without a proper aerial, therefore is not really portable. You can use it as a 'set-top box' to turn your analogue TV at home into a digital one to pick up Freeview etc. but these boxes cost next to nothing these days in the shops, so you're better off either getting a cheap one from a store or buying a proper TV with a built-in one.
Don't be fooled by the positive descriptions of this thing, which were probably written by employees of the the vendor. Its not worth the money.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought one of these for my wife as a present, especially as I'd never heard of the manufacturer before, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Because I'm so close to our local transmitter I'm within the "shadow" area and have to use a good rooftop aerial, none of my prior TV's have obtained a decent picture from either an inbuilt aerial, or even one of the custom wall-mounted types connected through a booster, so I wasn't at all surprised to find I needed to connect this to the external aerial as well. For that reason I can't make a fair comment about the inbuilt aerial. No doubt I'll find out how good that is when I next go camping, but if we can't get a signal it's easy enough to take a few films along with us ... Read More:
Now that our 21 month old gets bored on long journeys in the car we decided that we needed a DVD player for the car. This one fitted the bill perfectly!
It's fits flush against the car seat so no little feet can kick it.
The picture qualtity is excellent.
Great 11" screen
It's side loading so easy to change DVD's on the move. (Not by the driver of course)
It can be run off the cigarette lighter so no worries about the battery going flat.
The on set controls are so easy my 21 month old can turn it on and play her DVD's herself.
We haven't tried the TV/Digital part as yet, but thought that it was a good extra to have when we are staying away from home.
We purchased this, with the carry bag and car harness from ... Read More:
This August 7 inch LCD replaces my 10 year old 14 inch Sony CRT TV and I am so glad I did that. Very smart design, it is perfect size for my bedroom. The picture is brilliant, although the sound seems a little bit tiny for me when it is noise outside (I live close to the main street), but what can you expect more from such a small device.
It only picked up a few freeview channels and four on analogue using the small antenna supplied, but once connecting to my roof aerial, it easily picked up all the freeview channels and radio. It has built-in card reader and usb port, but I am mainly using the usb function to listen to the music downloaded from the internet.
I found the sleep and wake up function very useful, I like falling asleep ... Read More:
We bought this dvd player to keep our Ben entertained on long journeys in the car, and we are very pleased with it. The picture quality is brilliant, so does the sound, but better sound quality when using the earphone jack. The multiregion feature plays discs we brought back from States and it plays Dvix format and recorded discs.
The built-in TV function is a good extra to have which means Ben can watch his program and we can watch ours on the big tv. The remote control is very handy, very easy to select playing discs or watching tv.
Using the given aerial it picked up about 30 Freeview and four analogue channels, however this only worked in upstairs rooms within the house. Fixing to an ordinary roof aerial solved this problem, and ... Read More:
