Over the years there have been a lot of products that promise to transform the way you work. PDAs, operating systems, smart phones... they all disappoint. This doesn't. You can have 3 different documents open at once, more if it's plugged into a laptop or you use a 2nd screen (I used 2 cinema screens for a bit: you could see the lights dim all down the street when I booted my rig up in the morning).
I get sooo much more done, so much more quickly now. And it's just a pleasure to sit in front of. Every morning I sit down to work and I just smiiiile.
Using a 30" is completely different to using, say, two 20" monitors. Everything is in the same place, you're not constantly looking at a central bar.

To put this in context my dad worked for Digital (DEC) when I was a child and I first started using PC's at the age of 3. I got my first PC at about 11 or 12, a 486 with (gasp!) a CD-ROM drive that took three days to install. Now I'm not saying I'm Old-Skool(TM) as I never owned a C64 (just an Atari ST), but I just wanted to state I've been a PC fanboy for a long time. I'd always hated Macs. Macs were those grey boxy things that only ran Prince of Persia, although apparently they were great for "desktop publishing", whatever that is. It didn't sound like something with grenade launchers or helicopters so I wasn't interested.
Then, the iPod happened and Macs were colourful and plasticcy, but again, no games and a slight bit of arrogance ... Read More:
