Volvo S60, no option to change stereo, no aux in, no cassette so no cassette adaptor... it had to be an FM transmitter.

The first 'cheapo' one I had was fine - proving that they can work in my car - but died. When it came to replacing it I chose this one on the basis of features-for-the-money. I did extensive reading on-line in an effort to choose a 'works for definite' one... found that they all have good and bad reviews and I suspect that it's more to do with 'works fine in this or that vehicle' than the products themselves.

As well as playing music (well) through my car stereo (and loud enough - a challenge for UK iPods with cheapo transmitters)... it has the added bonus of the RDS transmission so I can see who ... Read More:

It feels strange to award a product 5 stars for doing exactly what it claims to do.... but its such a rare occurrence!

I received the product next working day from Amazon and had it unpacked and in my car working, fully set-up, in less than 5 minutes. The smartscan WORKS and the sound quality is almost national radio standard in quality. The RDS text is a really useful feature (shame it appears in static lines rather than scrolling across the display, but that is down to the nanny state rather than the manufacturer).

The contol unit that sits in the power outlet glows in three stages to indicate how complete your iPod charge is and you can pause, skip, shuttle and play from this control without searching on the passenger ... Read More:

Griffin RoadTrip 4031 - FM Transmitter & Charger for iPods - Black

I bought this as a secondary unit to an iTALKonline transmitter, and while I have probably been spoilt by that piece of kit, I honestly wasn't expecting the Roadtrip to be as bad as it is.

Firstly, the basic fitting is not quite long enough to fit into the cigarette lighter and allow me to actually see and use the ipod. Due to the angle of the socket in my car (Audi TT), the ipod ends up pointing towards the floor, making it difficult to change tracks etc.
Also, the extension arm supplied is way too long and the unit is too heavy to be supported safely by it, leaving it sticking out too far and waggling around.

I have to say it is one of the slickest products I have baught, has that liquid metal look out of terminator....

The only detail that bothers me is that it is pretty hard to remove(I damaged it a bit while using a coin (as directed in the manual) but then again maybe I am just a bit rough.

I bought this based on the positive reviews found on the web and whilst it is simple enough to use and cheap I found the sound quality to be extremely poor. I have tried it on various frequencies and in a number of different vehicles to see if that made a difference and whilst some were better than others I would describe the quality as mediocre at best. If you want something small and quick to use then ok but if you want something that sounds half decent take my advice and look elsewhere

Griffin Tempo - Armband For iPod With Video - Classic Compatible

As a new to the gym and new to Ipod girl, I searched the web for such a product as this and found the perfect answer on Amazon. I wanted an armband that would allow me to see the screen on my Nano2G, and also have access to plug in my charger and ipod FM radio without taking it out of the sleeve.(Obviously I wasn't charging it while wearing it!) A bonus, which was also worthwhile, is the cord storage, to wind round and secure the extra length on the headphone lead, which is in an attractive orange, and looks like a long toggle. I found the armband has adequate touch and close fastenings and an extra moveable loop to tuck the end of the arm strap into for skinnier arms. This earphone splitter is perfect for sharing music, I bought it just in time to take on holiday for me and my better half! The built in volume controls provide independence with the music being supplied from one mp3 player. I found the length to be just about right and flexible rather than fixed like some of the other options. Great value for money.
