Bought these speakers as I was fed up with charging my iPod via my PC's USB, and also wanted to listen to music whilst in my craft room ! Didn't want anything too expensive, so after reading the reviews plumped for these! I must say it was very easy to set up, and I was playing my favourite tracks within minutes. I was pleasantly surprised with the sound quality, which was even better than I had anticipated for the price I paid. Nice compact size, and the black looks good with my pink iPod !
I am glad I purchased these speakers, and once again the delivery time and service was excellent from Amazon.

As another reviewer said, lucky Amazon make it so easy to return items. I plugged the first one in, didn't work, but I thought I'd give it another chance as all the other reviews were so good. Second time it didn't work, I asked for a refund.

This product is great. The sound is excellent and it is really small and stylish! I can highly reccommend it. NB it works with the ipod classic 80gb

I listen to a wide range of music and am very particular about sound quality. I was, considering the price and size of this unit, expecting to be disappointed.

Quite the opposite. Doubt you'd get a better quality anywhere for this price! The subwoofer is exceptional for its size and the unit has plenty of umph!

I have also found it handy to pack in a weekend case.

The the only slight problem is a transient distortion of treble on full whack.

Well worth the money.

Why Amazon have this thing paired with an Ipod Touch I'll never known - surplus of stock maybe...
If you - like me - are just about to buy an Ipod Touch and want a docking station to go with it I recommend you DO NOT buy this one.
It works fine (hence the 4 stars - music sound is deep and clear), however, due to the Touch's polished metal back it conducts the electrical charge when sitting in the docking station.
Yes, if you go to retrieve or replace it whilst the power is still on prepare yourself for an electric shock - and not a small one either.
I was thinking of speaking to the manufacturer but, unlike Amazon, they do not list the Touch as being compatible with this model, therefore they're covered. It works, thanks ... Read More:

Intempo iDAB Granite Black - DAB Radio For iPod And Speakers

At last I can listen to Five Live whilst out and about without having to buy a big portable DAB Radio (I hate having too much clutter on me!). The iDab was easy to set up, I found all the stations I needed by pressing the up and down buttons on the side. The sound quality is superb and I was a little wary as a previous review said it wasn't so good, I obviously thought this strange as this would be more to do with either the speakers or headphones that the DAB was being played through?!?! I must have been right as the sound quality was great through my Shure headphones. Very happy with it!

these speakers are really loud and have really good sound quality. i was going to by the 1ds 01 but then i saw these and they looked really good. when i got them i was very amazed at the size of them and thought that the sound would not be very good or loud but i was wrong. you should by them they are great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been through quite a few i-pod dock speaker systems in the last few years, searching for 'the one'. My search is over. My last system was the apple i-dock, rated as the best out there, outperforming the bose and all others. Not any more.
I kid you not, this is the best well priced i-pod dock out there, by a long way. I myself was drawn in by reviews of 'brilliance' and 'excellence' and felt it only right to give it a go, i was not dissapointed.
This system, although not particularily portable, looks superb in the corner of the room, taking suprisingly little space for its size, and the fact you can rotate the mid range speakers means the important stuff goes anywhere you want and the superb bass response goes, well, everywhere. ... We bought this as a birthday present for the Mother-In-Law.
Unfortunately I am comparing it against the Klipsch Dock (which I have) and a Bose dock (which a friend has) and it lacks something. It sounds like a big radio, the spatial sound just isn't there; it does have a bit of punch, due to the rear woofer, but to get the most of it I would suggest putting it infront of a wall.
I would recommend spending another £50 and buying the Klipsch, if you don't have another £50 to spend - just remember this is a typical mid range dock.

Good little speakers these. I bought some for my better half for christmas and have been really impressed with them. Sound clarity is excellent even at volume. Volume is controled by simply touching the + or - buttons on the unit itself or on the remote and goes up or down in pretty acceptable blocks, not whisper quiet to deafeningly loud in one tounch like some.

They also charge your iPod while connected to the unit which is a real bonus.

On the downside, the remote control funcions are a little basic. You've got volume, skip forward and back, play and pause. You cannot scroll through the menus with the remote and hence have to use the ipod touchpad to select playlists, artist, album etc.
