. Mustek DTV-408 - Pro 8.4inch Portable DVD Playerfrom: Mustek I have to say that I really am impressed with this. The DVD player is brilliant. The picture is clear and, (with a bit of distance between you and the screen) very sharp. The speakers are a bit tinny but what do expect?!? If you use a set of external speakers (PC speakers for example), the sound is superb. The digital TV is also very good. Set-up is very simple. When you first scan for channels, I would advise that you do it in a good & open reception area (I did it in Tesco's car park as it was very open) in order to get them all. It will work inside your house but the antenna will need to be stuck out of the window. The only downside to the TV is that it doesn't seem to work on the move ie. driving down the motorway etc and you can't go ... Read More: |

Mustek DTV-407 DVD Playerfrom: Mustek I bought this for my parents, as the £180 price is comparable with the dvd players they were looking at in the shops, with the additional feature of Digital TV. The player is tad on the big size, for a 7" screen (although it has a lot of features) but what was a big surprise was the huge battery that bolts onto the back. This makes it very heavy and bulky and ugly. I suggested they just use the aux power adaptor. The screen (so they say is 7") but I found that there was a huge space below the screen. (Personally - ugly). The supplied TV arial gave me diddly-squat of tv reception, but they supply a connector so you can use stardard tv connector.
