Sennheiser MX 70 - Sport Line - headphones ( ear-bud )

i bought these earphones to use at the gym. they were absolutely dreadful; constantly dropping out, especially when i was sweaty (sorry, these are sports earphones!!)

please note that i have 'normal' ears too.

i promptly took them back and swopped them for the twist mx75 model, which are great in comparison and more importantly ive never lost sound with them, which happened regularly with other non sports ones i have used.

These are exceptionally good headphones although I fail to see why their impedance (the 300 Ohm bit) is part of the product name. I bought them from a specialist Hi-Fi retailer a number of years ago so was able to compare a number of different 'phones using top notch source and amplification. These were head and shoulders above anything else. Being an open design, they provide almost no environmental isolation and they broadcast almost as much sound to everyone else as they do to the wearer - so they are of no real use except at home and in private. They are fairly efficient but not as efficient as the average MP3 player ear bud 'phones. So if volume is at a premium (e.g. with the Sony Walkman) these will not play very loud. Having said ... I've had a pair of these for about nine months or so now. At the time I bought them (not from here I might add) they were around £35.00. I've always like Sennheiser and I bought them knowing that they were likely to at least sound okay.

I bought them to use with my MP3 player. Normal earphones that come with MP3s, the in-ear kind almost always sound rubbish. My wife's Nano 'phones are terrible. She plugged the Sennheisers in and couldn't believe the difference.

The bass extension on these is outrageous. Try listening to Machine Head's Imperium, or Pantera or Slipknot and you will understand just how articulate these headphones are at delivering weapons grade bass response as well as articulating crisp higher frequencies. ... Read More:

Sennheiser HDR130 Wireless Headphone

These headphones are no way near good enough. I am looking at the base unit about 2 metres away with my headphones on, and they are losing signal, and tuning out. Sound quality maybe OK, but it goes no more than 10 seconds without detuning to static, so who cares how good the 10 seconds are?
