Shinco SDP-1720A Portable DVD Player with 7" Display and Travel Case

Like many reviewers, I bought this player for my holiday, mainly on the strengths of price and performance, and having used it (and continue to use it) I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to anyone.
First the minus: the car headrest case that it's supposed to sit in is frankly rubbish.
However...the battery life is absolutely superb and I've never had it run out before the end of a film. It comes with a car charger as well so is perfect for long car journeys. It played all the regions I tried it with (UK, US and Aus) in terms of DVD, plus after ripping loads of CD's to MP3 format and then writing them to DVD, it played those too! Hours of music for the trip.

Shinco 5" Portable DVD player

Bought the above player a few weeks ago. Had to return the first one as after playing DVDs for a while the picture and sound would start to be no longer syncronised. Received a replacement player a week later (made by Cineman and not Shinco but no other difference that I can see) and the picture and sound appear to be syncronised now. I say appear, as sometimes it's not perfect. In particular, I played an 8 inch home made DVD-RW and after 15 mins the sound was almost a second ahead of the picture. I would say this was a one off as I have tried several other DVDs (all 12 inch) and I can't detect any significant syncronisation issues after paying close attention.
