TomTom Map of Western Europe - Maps (DVD)from: TomTom February 18, 2007 Like me, you've probably read the blurb and still have a few questions - hopefully the following will help! - Yes, these maps do work perfectly with other versions of the Tomtom One. I've got the One V2 Regional which was UK only. The software seems very well integrated with the Tomtom Home PC software, all I needed to do was hook up the unit, pop in the DVD and select the maps I wanted to install from the Tomtom Home software screen. The DVD package includes a product card code, which when entered gave a prompt to visit the ttcode.com website. This generates a separate key code - enter that and everything works a treat. - The DVD contains the various country specific maps, also it contains country specific maps with main routes ... . Maps of Great Britain For Tom Tom Go Classic 300/500/700from: TomTom April 14, 2005 This is generally an excellent piece of kit though it is debatable just how often you might need to update. The technical info gives no date of mapping and there were obvious errors involving "new" roads even though some were more than five years old! A good example: if you were exiting the M25 (west) at Reigate, and following istructions, you would stay on the motorway missing the one and a half mile slip road, only to be told to take the slip road a mile too late. You can't! It would be helpful to give dates of accuracy and allow for downloading updates rather than having to buy a new SD card which is not cheap. . TomTom GO 730 Trafficfrom: TomTom Having Owned 3 previous GPS systems over the last 7 years, i settled on this, my first, manufactured by Tom Tom. Easy to use straight out of the box, set up takes a little time but is worth doing properly and not rushing through. the Bluetooth feature is a godsend in this day and age of New Laws preventing the use of mobile phones etc whilst driving. Having just purchased this product, i thought it best to give it a Baptism Of Fire! so i went from Sunny Norfolk To Birmingham, Via Leicester City Centre!!!! It was spot on with the route, and pleasantly surprised with the accuracy of it being able to tell me which lane i should be in!! One point to remember, it is well worth shopping around for a product like this, there are identical products ... Read More: |
