Ultimate Ears Super.Fi - Universal Fit Earphones - 5 Pro - Black

After much deliberation, and hours spent reviewing in-ear monitors for my 32Gb Ipod Touch, I finally took the plunge and bought the Super.Fi 5 Pro in black, and boy am I happy I did.

I had narrowed my choices down to Shure SE420's, UE's Triple.fi 10 and a new brand called Sleek Audio who have released a model called the SA62's. I am not an Audiophile, but really appreciate clear, vibrant and powerful music so I had to fold up my Sennheier PX100's and make my choice.

Ultimate Ears Metro.fi 2 - In Ear Headphones - Black

I originally had the sony ericsson hpm 70 earphone headset and then i bought the sony mdr-ex71's and recently i decided to try and get some good quality earphones that could actually handle music at a higher bit rate and improves the sound quality overall and after quite a bit of research i stumbled upon these.

These headphones are made by the same people who make the in ear monitors that many artists use and they made these headphones for those who dont want a bulky set which show you have some expensive headphones. They definately do look more low profile than the distinct look of a pair of shure e2c's but thats not all these headphones are about.

Ultimate Ears Super.fi 3 - In Ear Studio Headphones - Black

Looking for headphones with lots of bass for the likes of dance/trance music ? Then pass.
If you are listener of acoustic sounds, classical music, live acoustic performances, strings etc, then this might be what you are looking for. Crystal clear sound is what you'll get, almost like being at the concert yourself... it sounded that clear to me.
Comparing the Ultimate Ears with my previous set of Sennheiser, which I bought from Currys, the Sennheiser had much more bass driven sounds which is more suited for hard dance/trance music.

I found the buds not to be suitable for my ears as it did not 'suck' into my ears and vacuum sealed. The set comes with a wide selection of bud sizes and fittings all in a very pleasing metal casing. The buds are easy ... Read More:

Build Quality: My only reason for not giving 5 stars....they seem a tad "plasticy"....I know ear buds should be light and unobtrusive, but for my 100 quid I'd have like a more substantial feeling product.

Value for money: you gets what you pays for!.....I have various budget sets and they are exactly that...budget
