I have a set of these batteries for many uses about the house - the Wii remote, the flash for my digital SLR, sat nav, remotes and so on. 2500maH is a good amount of charge and it's worth getting at least this amount otherwise you might end up recharging more often than you want.
As far as shelf life is concerned, I've had my batteries a couple of years and recharged them hundreds of times, and they still seem to last as long as they ever did.
It's satisfying when you know you're re-using a battery rather than forking out quite a lot of money for top brand disposable batteries each time they run out. You'll get your money back after about 5 charges so it's one of the easiest decisions you'll have to make. There are ... Read More:

I bought this with Canon Power Shot A560. Unfortunately this camera likes LR6/AA 1.5 volt batteries, and will not opperate on UniRoss R6/AA 2500mAh x 1.2 volt as supplied with charger. I guess I bought a pup. Alex

This is a great charger! I bought it to use for my xbox 360 wireless controllers as they were going through a lot of batteries and these last ages. It works out a lot cheaper to buy rechargeable batteries too. Highly recommended. Great buy.

I bought this charger months ago, and was always wondering why They took ages and ages to charge, and the Led light remained on. Also two of the points became powdery, and on close inspection, there was battery leakage, so I had to throw out good batteries. I agree with the last reviewer, and thank you Paul for pointing that out. I use a Digital camera and this type of charger is definitely not to be considered, if you can not stand to wait...and wait...

I heard good things about low discharge rechargables and decided to give them a go.
They're absolutely amazing and its like sticking a fresh pair of batteries in each time. I've used them in my wii, xbox 360 and even a flashgun for my DSLR. The charger actually holds four batteries, which isn't obvious in the photo - Two in the front and two in the back, and you can charge 4 of one type (AA/AAA) or two of each type. It also has a slot to charge a 9V rechargable if you decide to buy one later one.
Only reason I've given them four stars and not five is that the charger isn't a "smart" or "fast" charger, and so its takes 9 hours to recharge the batteries fully. Not a problem for me though as I can charge whilst I sleep!

Have now had this approx 2 weeks and so far so good. I had previously bought the "Uniross Charger Xpress 300", which worked for a grand total of 5 minutes, and never again after!! So I was dissappointed and hesitant about buying a recharger and had more or less resigned myself to a life of the eco-unfriendly but nevertheless ubiquitous disposables. But I saw this, read the overall favourable reviews, and thought that I'd gamble a fiver! And so far I am impressed! Though early days, it has already outlived my Uniross Charger Xpress 300 by a thousand miles!!! Once bitten twice shy!
I would recommend getting a USB extension cable, as depending on the model of the computer and where/how the USB slots are located, this recharger won't fit into the slot, ... Read More:
