So easy to set up.

Such a shame it does not work with BBC channels overseas....look at the one star reviews, I didn't and wish I had.

I have wanted on of these for years, so I did my research and discovered Pure is a top brand. I have been very pleased with the sound quality, and the fact I can get my local radio station (which I was never able to). I am also very pleased with the colour - PINK! - it brightens up my life.

I wanted a small portable radio mainly to listen to while getting ready for work in the mornings. One that I could keep mostly in the bathroom & that could be used with batteries, so I could take from room to room without the hassle of mains leads etc.
I have seen a plethora of DAB radio's recently so thought I'd give them a try. I didn't want a 'Brick' that seems to be all the rage in the DAB world, so when I saw the dinky 'Pure Move' I thought it would be pretty much ideal.
I wasn't wrong, as it truly is portable - it is small enough to carry in a coat pocket & the inbuilt lithium rechargeable battery gives a very respectable 40 hours use, which for my measly 30 minutes each morning equates to over 2 months between charges. At that ... Read More:

Had one for about 10 months now. Well built and very good sound quality, even when used in an internal bathroom (I live in SW London so assume DAB signal is pretty strong). Some small but annoying criticisms though:

1. The necessary charge pack battry is a rip off at £27 extra
2. When powered by battery it has a stupid double-press on button to turn radio back on (press once and it turns off again, need to press twice at carefully spaced interval)
3. No ability to have alarm cancelled at weekends so you need to remember to turn it off every Friday and bakc on Sunday night

Sony got this unit just right with the looks - everything other clock radio in the store had the design flair of your average computer peripheral. I got this unit to replace a Sony clock radio which I'd had for about 20 years but I wanted a DAB unit. The radio is fine and fades in which is a nice feature but the radio clicks as it is switched on, defeating the nice effect. A few other annoyances - if you switch off the alarm too quickly after it goes off (<5 seconds) it switches back on the next minute. Really annoying for my wife who sleeps later than me and gets woken just after I jump in the shower. You get what you pay for,and this is cheap and nasty do not waste your money look for something costing that bit more its worth it.

PURE Elan RV40, Portable Stereo DAB/FM Digital Radio with ReVu™

Compared with our old PURE Elan (Christmas 2005) the Elan RV40 is such a disppointment. Our first DAB radio was so easy to use; the 8 presets were not only a doddle to programme, but were a "one touch" operation to flit between, making it the ideal kitchen radio, in a busy teenager shared home. Sadly the on/off switch decided not to play any more, and after a month of leaving the radio on, and using the volume control instead, we decided to be more environmentally friendly and replace it.

The RV40 was a mistake. To change the radio station, you must now press; the preset button, followed by the + button, for as many times, as to equal the number of the preset, and then press select. At a minimum that is 3 buttons to press, if like us you like BBC7 to be ... Read More:

If you do not want to spend twice as much on Bose, get this unit. Excellent sound and build quality. We only use it for DAB so I cannot comment on other sound sources.
What is miss is direct iPod connection, not just input jack.

And what we do not like? The LCD is too bright during the night, so bright it seems feels like full moon. However, this can be advantage if you need to find way out of the bedroom and back during night.
